If you watch episode 8 you will understand why he is like that, I think his reasons are valid. His wife manipulated him and he saw that something is not right with her when he discovered her fake identity. After that he kept his distance with the wife (I don't think he was bad to his daughter purposely and that is why his ulmost regret after his daughter dissapearance was telling her"Mom and Dad are not fighting because of you Da Bin"). Hell, the wife is even poisoning him I bet, the way she threw the soup was fishy...
It is not just a " bad " marriage, he married a con artist and on top of that with sociopathic tendencies. But I must agree the past Seo Jin is a big asshole too so I hope he will "remember" his memories of his old future self to change for the good.

It is frustrating to tell but I am sure it is still one month ahead so either he did not remember the moment where he found out that his wife is a snake or his wife is manipulating him again...For example she can use Da Bin as an excuse and said to him that Da Bin would hate him if he puts her in jail or whatevers... I hope really hope the worst for her at the end even if yes she had a bad childhood but that don't excuse everything...
I saw another trailer and what I find important are : they show that 28 years ago something happened to a bunch of kids. I guess Jung Woo and Jamie Layton were one of those kids. The police receive informations about future suicide and accident that will happen and they think it is murders disguised when it really happen. A man wants all the kids dead because he is on the "death list" (I do not know what that means and that make me think of death note haha)
That really give me "Children of lesser god" vibe so perhaps it will be about a cult that happened 28 years ago and some kids turns out to have powers and predict the future ? I dunno (but I really want to know ._.).
What I am 80% sure is there are probably making Jun Woo suspicious but I don't think he is a murderer. He must have some kind of power but it is a big mystery.

I read the webtoon just some months ago, I am quite surprise to see it adapted to a drama after I read it, I am kind of lucky ? My only fear about this are how they will do the monsters, hope they won't do too much special effects (I think that will be the case because the network is Netflix...). I prefer if they stay at their humans forms but give a creepy vibes like in The Guest for example. were those who were possessed had their feelings/desires distorted.

In the present Do Gyun wanted to take Seo Jin to the hospital but the wife said they should just let him die here and especially told Do Gyun to take care of him... Do Gyun is not so horrible because he does not want to kill anyone, in episode 7 he said to the hitman that he NEVER ordered him to kill Jin Ho. But I still hate his character because how easily he is manipulated by the wife. I guess my opinion will change a bit in episode 9 because I guess he will find the smartphone and help Ae Ri to save Seo Jin and his family who died (I know he will probably do this mainly to save the wife but still )

Something came through my mind : What if Seo Jin was "buy" to hide the truth. That is quite strange how he is " the youngest director in Korea "and the drama insists a lot on this title... I think YuJung's construction gave this job in exchange for his silence. Or they manipulated him in order for him to be indebted to the compagnie and unconsciously this is why his trauma gets worst because he feels guilty to stay quiet about it.

About the fact everyone around Seo Jin are toxic is really the thing that get me the most curious, perhaps they just wanted to contrast main characters like most of the time (Seo Jin = rich but alone. Ae Ri = Poor but have a family and true friends) but I think there is something more... That is why I am afraid that they add a tragic information in the middle of all of that, perhaps something in his past that we are not aware yet. Perhaps he did someting horrible who knows ? But I really hope they won't take this path, I really like his character. What make me anxious too is the fact we are often seeing him taking pills and I know perhaps it is only to show that he has a trauma but that also give more chance to the twist "it was all in his head " at the end (even if the chance is still slim because we also see from Ae Ri point of view but I have still doubts).

either Do Gyun who is being played by the wife is also working to cover up the compagnie so perhaps he tries to hit two birds with one stone.
either the driver (who is a hitman) who is working for Do Gyun is also workind for someone else like perhaps the old man who manages the construction compagnie to cover up and everything is entangled.
either there is a mastermind behind the mastermind so that would give : someone at the top of the compagnie ( that we will see giving orders later ) > wife manipulating Do Gyun > Do Gyun > Hitman.

What would be strange is : why after so much years he worked for them ? The thing they have in common between Seo Jin and Ae Ri's family is the fact they are somehow witnesses or acquaintances of witnesses of the collapsing building.
I bet my two cents that Ae Ri's mom has proofs that could prove the building had weak materials (perhaps her husband gave her/told her something before the day he died or perhaps she investigated and found something). That is why she said "Don't you dare touch my daughter, she does not know anything ! ". And why Jin Ho came to see her because he wanted to prove the weak materials. However it is still a mystery why after those years they suddently want to erase her when she did not do anything with the informations/proofs she has ? Or perhaps because she thought she was going to die she tried something that we do not know yet and that what trigger all of the " we must hide the truth".

At least, when she did played the blame game and then "killed herself". I am pretty sure it was in order to push Seo Jin to kill himself...The wife is 100% a psycho. By the way, I am glad her character is like that, it is more interesting because if not they would make Seo Jin forgive her at the end and she would not pay for what she did...

I think the topic about her dad will bring chaos between Ae Ri and Seoj Jin. Kdramas logic would be that Seo Jin caused her dad to die somehow : how we saw there was someone else trapped with Seo Jin and later on we learn that Seo Jin misteriously survived 31 days.Lmao in a no-kdramas the answer would be simple : he ate Ae Ri's father to survive but I don't think they will go on this dark path haha But I imagine something like perhaps he let Ae Ri's dad died in order to survive or Ae Ri's dad saved him before dying.

For Ae Ri, in the firsts two episodes I was not into her story because same as you I was more concerned about Seo Jin's story and him saving his family ( I did not hate her character but I did not like her either) but after that it was better in my opinion. Love this "ping pong game " where they save each other through sharing informations.
I think it is because the cheating wife and Do Gyun are charismatic, again it depends on tastes but I am glad they made the wife a psycho manipulating everyone around her. This is more interesting + I wonder what her real identity because she said she looks forward to the day where she will get rid of her name ( but perhaps it was about her family's name she had from Seo Jin she was talking about ?).
