Not gonna forgive author & director if they even after using him as matchmaker saviour tool to provide FL happy ending, still sacrifice him on excuse of 'Soldier deserves to die in battle.'

For me, a better ending would be character being atleast alive. Xiang liu is both a loyal soldier & lover. Hope author & director give him justice & let him live free with furball. He deserves better.❤

Xiang Liu & real FFB when real FFB was dying. Real FFB told XL to consume him & promise to take care of his family. XL took his place & fulfilling his promise & now even silently protecting FL.

FYI, that broken person is the one, who loved & protected her silently. He even saved Jing & led her to happy ending. He is happy in XY happiness. He is worthy of her love. So, broken or not both XY & XL are beautiful characters & deserves better.

But, truth is truth, Xiang Liu is & will be always important for her, who hides his feelings, will silently leads her to happiness. He is happy in XY happiness. I hope author & director atleast gives him justice in drama.

Those people who are mocking Xiang liu & downgrading his efforts & whatever he did for FL & saying he is unimportant. Lets imagine this story without XL. We will see, Xuan getting power hungry & killing Jing in jealousy while Xiao Yao retaliating with poisoning him & died herself ultimately. In end, Xuan realizing his mistake, crying "Baby come back, Come back, I was wrong". Viewers get a typical sad ending like other sad dramas.

Hope people will understand his character importance. Xiang Liu is worthy of her love. Being loyal to love & duty he was able to led XY to happy life with Jing. He deserves better.

He is not abusive. People tends to misjudged him cause he is birn demon & that's why rough. That's how XL behaves but now he is changed. Out of all Mlds, he is the only who is most selfless. XL hides his feelings & silently protects her always until his last breath.

XL & XY shares 'lovers bug' so XL can feel her all pain. They are more close now. In epi-14 when XL comes to save her from CX, she declines. So, XL goes there disguised as FFB to help XY without letting her know.

Drama have bittersweet ending. CX killed TSJ in jealously & XY died taking poison but later Xiang liu saves them. XL help in happy ending for XY & TSJ while died in battle against CX. In end CX married 2nd FL & 100 concubines.

Title 'LYF' refers to CX losing XY forever. It also refers to FL losing Xiang Liu forever as he died hiding his love. FL didn't know how much XL did for her until its very late.

Xiang liu is different from other mlds. Xuan wants to posses XY & Jing don't want her to love anyone, but XL wants to see XY happy in life, even if its not him. Infact, XL is loyal to both his love & duty. He hides his love. He is her soulmate & silent protecter. He deserves better.

Whether historical or modern, if a story doesn't show any character development then, that drama is mostly meaningless & bland.

'Love bug' makes Xiang Liu feels whatever pain Xiao yao suffers. Love bug takes place in heart. He is infact more connected to XY everytime. That's why XL knew XY legs are hurt.

Their confession was sweet. Jing asking XY to wait 15 yrs is ok but asking not fall for another man is his insecurity speaking. He shouldn't doubt her. Even he know that Xuan wouldn't let them go easily. XY didn't own him anything. Imo, Jing stopping her falling for a man (XL) who actually will help both of them get happy ending is unfair.
