Well, Season2 adaptation disappointingly lacks compared to novel as, *Spoiler* her reaction on Xiangliu's death was originally much severe, so much that even Jing was scared by her heartwrenching screams & cries. Xiangliu's death shocked her, broke her limit, that's why, in end, she goes away from CX life, without telling him. She felt hollow heart as not able to feel Xiangliu's heartbeat anymore but production changed it, shortened those emotional scenes of plot to highlight others in the drama.

She endup with Jing, after XiangLiu saves Jing from sea monster and saves Xiao yao by sacrificing his another life. Jing has happy end, while she got bittersweet ending as her mother and soulmate XiangLiu dies.

Apparently, its one of the most anticipated drama of year, gained most views on its latest trailer, (especially in modern mystery genre). Its stated to air in 2025 Q2. Hope they air it possibly soon in January/February 2025 without any delay.

It has wonderful production & ML amazing performance (he continuesly Topped No.1 various charts, drama ranked in Top 3), but in diversion to focus on fl loose plot, made it underrated. Upon that some haters downgraded it too. Drama honestly deserves better. ML is a talented artist, not some expressionless traffic artist with backers for easy fame. Praised by many critics, directors etc., he is one of the professional Chinese lead artists. Whatever he achieved is cause of his talents & skills, sharpened by years of hardships & experiences.

The fact is, its better to judge & rate it on basis of ML, who fulfilled his part amazingly. I'm annoyed with fl but not gonna stop drama for her. Drama production and TJC performance are wonderfully amazing. Yuan Mo, Lao Yu & Sifang guys are enough interesting plot characters, blissfully kept me rooted to end and made me watch it again. Recommended to watch it for them.

I feel content. Now can continue my work in peace, will bing it on inbetween often. Yuan Mo & Sifangguan guys are the saving grace of drama. Such wonderful bunch of people. They didn't disappoint. ML is precious. I want to snatch him out of screen. Whatever the moments, emotions, Tan jianci effortlessly nailed it. His performance is solid amazing. I hope IQIYI will make season 2, just with YM & Sifang guys. (9/10)

FL's stupid guards happens, but some of haters hideously down voting it too. To be fair, Go East is a remarkable quality IQIYI drama, definitely deserves 9, especially for Tan jianci's amazing visual, acting & expressive performance.

Seriously, A-su maids are too annoying & childish. More than guarding, they rudely kept interfering in leads relationship. I share same sentiments as YCH. Hope she make them work hard.
