See, after going to past LSS clearly changed him. This TTJ is much different from past. Being abused & betrayed by others, TTJ wasn't given a reason for her actions until Tower scene where everything happened so fast. TTJ waited & tried to find her for 500 years as he did loves her but she left without giving him a chance (typical naive trait of FLs in any drama.)
