rare to see someone with the same theory these days :D that was the route I am expecting since the start tbh but it's so unpopular that I just kept it to myself.
Not only because GYJ x Min Hyun is visuals overload.
The reason why I thought it's that route because they gave Naksu x Yul that childhood meet-up they keep on repeating that and it's significance isn't even used properly in S1 like they just added that childhood crush because they want Yul to be in love? some jealousy scene and love triangle scene? and get his heartbroken? that's pointless and makes Yul a mediocre character.

If that's the whole purpose of yul's character, then the crown prince has more character development and dynamics.

I know we are all for a personality driven love story but honestly visuals and chemistry matters in a series. and at this point I just cannot see, GJY acting as mudeok being cutesy and fun around Uk, but I can see her as a serious assassin around Yul.

same. But the last ep didn't show her disappear/die, she was saved. Let's just hope her character/s will be given some justice.

add the Jinmu bell controlled character to that. You can see it in her eyes and face whenever she shifts character, she can just remove all her emotion in an instant. Bravo!

aaaand she isn't even wearing a proper badass outfit while doing that, at it still look so good. Dayyum, the way you can see it in her face whenever she changes character is always amazing, topnotch acting right there. No emotion whatsoever and then goes back to being Mudeok I had goosebumps. I was about the drop the whole thing because I can feel the cliffhanger coming but I stayed for JSM. ❤️👏❤️👏👏👏 I will follow her acting from now on.

you should and I should have done the same. Honestly but can't avoid the spoilers on soc med at this point. I have so much studying, work and responsibilities irl and the past few episodes just added to my anxiety... I don't deserve the additional problems this show have given me haha

at the end of Ep 20 im just happy we know Buyeon's body did not disappear or die, hoping to see her back in s2 just knowing some justice be done with her character as well by then. I hate the fact that a lot of the theories centered on her just disappearing out of nowhere lol and definitely Hong sisters didn't go that route. I'm glad.

exactly! finally I found someone who have the same sentiments regarding Buyeon's character... I never considered her as some support character tbh. She is the reason why Naksu's soul survived this far, she is a great character with a very solid back story. I get a feeling they will rush this again and surely a disservice to her whole arc in season 1.

the whole scene about the crown prince turning bad is so rushed... like the dude is kind, honorable and intelligent. He wasn't even power hungry honestly... I have faith he is just playing with Jin Mu because if he suddenly becomes a villain that's a whole 360 character change.

I was expecting some Jang Gang redemption arc but nope he just sacrificed himself while taking such a long time to even reveal himself at the last moment... Yes, I was suppose to hate him because he is the reason for this whole mess to begin with but damn... he literally just escaped, came back like "oops my bad" and died. It was disappointing.

I read it and I also read some variations of that same theory. In any case, yeah most of the theories revolving around the idea that Buyeon will either sacrifice herself/disappear along with the ice stone.

as for me, I'd love to see them both return to their original bodies in season 2. Them finding a way for Naksu to return to her original body possibly with Buyeon's help using the ice stone, Buyeon regaining her body back and saving her family from Jin Mu and the remaining characters having to adjust to that changes especially Jang Uk.

at the same time, they will try to stop a war from happening between families, a paranoid king from freaking out and killing anyone else, Jang Gang coming to terms with his mistakes, stop the Queen/Jin Mu's evil plans, and at the end destroy the ice stone without any character being sacrificed.

well, it's just LJW and JSM having so much on-screen chemistry, and we are used to seeing them together the whole season 1 that seeing LJW paired with a different actress would feel somehow different.

Even if people say personality matters most, even Jang Uk will also need time to adjust to that physical change.

This is what I am referring to Buyeon having a character arc on her own so that we can stop describing her as just a good girl. JSM as Buyeon has so much advantage as we all know she can carry a character well.

But who knows, maybe GYJ will have the same physical chemistry too.

I was hoping they would dig deeper and have a love triangle between the three going into s2, creating a dilemma about physical appearance vs personality or even how the characters will deal with Buyeon and Naksu returning to their original bodies.

For this to happen, season 2 should allow some character development on Buyeon's side, I am not referring to her being kind, righteous, and powerful priestess as is revealed by the show but just as a human being as well. Does she have a quirky and funny side? is she sweet or clumsy too? did she have any struggles./ painful experiences?

I am for JSM to return in S2, and hoping what you said on number 4 will not happen this season hahaha

I agree, I am not referring to them revealing everything about her struggles and experiences but just enough so people would also feel empathy towards her character. I am very sad to see theories and opinions wanting Buyeon's spirit to die/disappear to make way for Naksu taking over her body to be with Jang Uk. She is also a victim and I hope we get to see her more in s2 unless she really is just a throw-away character for the sake of the plot.
