Snow is a literal translation of her Chinese name, 雪儿 means “snow child”
It doesn’t help when every actor has 4 different names, and each name is tied to a specific plattform. I don’t mind an artist name or nickname, but stick to one please.
I read the novel, before the drama aired. I have also posted a spoiler-free review, with links in it to my forum…
One thing I liked about the drama is the serious tone. The actors are great, and she really gives off a vibe of hardened no bs general.
I also enjoyed The Legend Of The Female General, but the feeling of that show is completely different. While that show is certainly entertaining, this show is in a different league altogether. Fated Hearts is a great show, period.
I really like the leads in this one. The ml lead is good looking and usually has very good chemistry, even if he often plays these cold über intelligent characters. The fl is often a breath of fresh air, she is good looking and funny (my big weakness).
Li Yun Rui is so good at portraying yearning face 🥺he is more suitable acting in costume drama rather than…
I half agree. But it might just be because his best shows are costume dramas… But then again, amongst my favorite Cdrama, most of them are costume dramas…
Just started watching this. Characters like her cousin is a little boring: ultra incompetent and total lack of self awareness and über ambitious. They never seem interested in doing the work, they only see the prestige. Even if they are used for comic relief, they take up a lot of time, and they never offer any surprises, only degrees of viciousness.
His character in FH is so hard to do right. I mean, he deserved to die, he really deserved to die, but it was so cruel to also kill his unborn child infront of him. He grew up surrounded by some of the worst barely humans you can think of, so all of his craziness is, not forgiven, but reasonable.
For an actor, to make the audience sympathize with a character like that, with his limited screen time, is just amazing. Simply put: good job man.
If this is true, I'm assuming this agency practice fair management, uphold good governance, and actually value…
It’s also a good thing that she can sign somewhere at all so fast. Now, she is a great actor and have a lot of fans, so it’s unlikely that she won’t be able to, but it is still important. Give more actors courage and actively change the industry.
I also made the switch to Cdramas a few years back. I got tired of how formulaic and trend chaser were Kdramas.
A good Kdrama is still great, but I’m not entirely convinced Netflix influence is the best. They have made some great shows, but they are definitely created for an international audience, so it loses a little of its flair. Or maybe I’m not on to something, and is just imagining it.
This is off and on topic: it was a couple of years ago that I found Kdramas. Somewhere along the crazy binge, it started to slip in a Cdrama here and there. Now, I’d say that 80% of what I watch is Cdrama. I envy people who are just discovering it!
Currently on ep 21 and I like this show a lot. Historical cdrama productions are world class.

Sometimes the ride is more pleasant when you know the destination.
I’ve never been a fan of 40 ep struggle with 5 minutes of HE (closing credits included). Give us some time to bask in the sun, please.

Let’s hope they had insurance, and can put their effort where there’s reward.
