Right. Hyewon is a controversial character to begin with, and I'd say it'd be an interesting, complex character had another more experienced actress played it. It's obvious someone must have helped HSZ to take this role; a bad decision as it seems since she's partnered with two male leads who can act and act well.

My biggest issue with this drama isn't the love triangle and the FL's character but the characters' inconsistencies in a whole, especially Taeoh's character. It's as if each episode is written by a different person who didn't bother to read the previous ones and catch up. Episodes 9 and 10 were the worst in this aspect. Perhaps it would be better if it was a 16 episode drama, Idk. Anyway, I'm happy it's ending next week.

Even though I watched without subs, it kept me at the edge of my seat. Great first episode and the acting is wow. Yeonseok is nailing it and it's only the beginning.

I never said they didn't mention the reason why they couldn't change their names, what I meant is why the mother and the kids couldn't go to court and cut ties for good with the abusive father and start afresh. I was thinking there was a bit of exaggeration there, but if the legal system is like that in Korea, then they have a long way to go to be named a developed country coz development isn't only defined by wealth, exports, gross national product and per capita income, but from details like these.

As for the subplots, well, each subplot is divided at least into three more, so yes, imo they are too many. Names, bodies in the lake, abusive father for the Kangs; the 20000 record break, Ranjoo's mom, Mora for Ranjoo (and Mokha).

Perhaps they have a second season in mind coz I too can't see how they can wrap up with the remaining stuff in only 4 episodes.
Plus, they must show Yiju learning that Doguk and the secretary both died with her in the accident.

imo the drama has been off course since episode 3 and is now very tiring, at least for me. Instead of watching Mokha's steps to stardom, we are watching a thousand other things that should have been dealt with long ago. A sincere question: okay, Kiho's dad was a policeman with connections, but are we supposed to believe that there's no way in Korea for a.domestic abused woman to turn to authorities, file for restraining order and get under protection? I see the necessity of changing names, I don't see the necessity of doing it illegaly though. There are so many subplots going around right now, that honestly make the title of the drama sound comic coz it's about anything else than that.

Loved the first episodes, but have to admit that the latter episodes (until the closing scene last week) have tired me a little. I need the revelations and the final battle.

You have summarized my sentiments. With the difference that I have already decided to drop it. Honestly, both leads get on my nerves; what people see as being madly in love, I see it as harassment. The arrogance of the ml and the low self esteem of the fl... never combine these two in a love story. I am disappointed, I was expecting it to be good, but apparently it isn't. At least for me and my standards.
