Dear hongrang annoyed me the most. The overall concept, characters and story was a masterpiece, but execution ruined it due to fast pacing (not enough episode to flesh out the story, plot and characters)

For the break up; I'm talking about our second lead couple and also the break up between song hakyung and the lawyer.

For the divorce; it's about Doha's mom and dad

Perfection was never the idea of this story and characters. If you looking for perfection here, you won't find it. The show made it clear from the beginning that they are telling a story of two flawed people who fell in love with each other, broken by a shared pain and guilt, characters who act based on emotions therefore always making wrong decisions. It's plain, it's genuine, it's realistic, we see such people in our world today often and that's why I like and can relate to this drama despite the few shortcoming in plot execution.

These two people learning to let go of that guilt and pain and healing together, embracing what they feel for each other, rediscovering themselves and building on that and finally chosing love and acceptance for each other despite their imperfections is what the show promised, and so far I'm happy that's what they have delivered.

The show depicted one of the best non toxic breakup and divorce I've seen in a while.

Also, they did so well with Hakyung character development. The way she is not only focused on herself like before, she is begining to see and understand Doha's perspective and how that tragedy also affected him. She may not be happy that Doha kept some information from her but she is now getting the reasons he had to do so and also encouraged him that they should start dealing with things together.

She is no longer running away from him or her feelings and fears, she has decided to embrace it and accept whatever may come in the future with the faith that together, they can get through it.

Now this is how you develop a female lead character like Song Hakyung.

I like as they are are not letting Do young's arc to die in the story narrative.

Keeping his character arc alive is very vital cause that was part of what caused the crack in our leads relationship in the first place and he also represents alot to both of them. I hope they end his arc on a good note and for both to finally move on from that loss, pain and guilt.

We have 4 episodes left, I really hope the show wraps up well but I won't put my hopes that high considering they still has alot to sort out in the story including the yet unknown Doha trauma. the one bugging me the most is that strange figure/person that is always spying outside the peanut house 🤔

A justified ending will be enough for me though. Let's see how it goes

On that, I trust and believe Song Hakyung ended things with the lawyer before that kiss happened. I could be wrong but we will see in the next episode.

You are right. She seems more matured with the lawyer than with Doha. And thats one interesting premise of this drama to me, it sparks the discussion; 'is it possible for one to be naturally more composed, matured when you are with A even though A is not your partner or the one you love romantically? And is there anything wrong with that when it comes to life in general?

I don't know if I'm wrong but I feel like the lawyer kind of represent in a way what Do young represent in Hakyung's life. Remember she said, with Doyoung, she could tell him anything no matter how personal and he was always able to understand and connect with her. She even talked about Do young easily without pain I think for the first time with the lawyer.

From my observation, though I could be wrong; her relationship with the lawyer is more of the kind of relationship she had with Do young and that's why they could connect very well even though she doesn't like him romantically.

I’ve been watching this drama from the start, and the more I follow it, the more I love and understand the way it’s written. If u are not really paying attention, it genuinely feels like the story isn’t moving, like the characters are stuck, the plot isn’t going anywhere, and even the healing theme we were promised isn’t showing up. To a casual viewer, it can look like the drama is just repeating itself.

But that’s actually what makes this show different.

It doesn’t reveal its big moments all at once. Instead, everything comes out in small and quiet details. The emotions, the character changes, the hints about their past, the healing moments. they are all scattered in little pieces throughout each episode. If u are not focused, u won’t even notice them. And then it’s easy to think nothing is happening.

But when u sit with it and really watch, you start connecting those little things together. You realize the characters are changing slowly and realistically. u see that the story is healing them step by step, even in ways they don’t recognize yet. The development is slow and subtle, but it’s definitely there and it’s intentional.

For me, that’s what makes this drama stand out. It’s the kind of show that needs your attention. It makes you slow down, observe, and feel with the characters. And when you do that, you start to appreciate how much depth and beauty the story has been building from the beginning.

It's a rare gem honestly. I relate to it alot

Exactly. Their relationship is not healthy at this point. And I believe Doha has a huge part in that. His character needs serious development. He can't remain wanting things his own way till the end of the show

Hakyung may be right in a way when she said they are both toxic for each other.

And you are right about Doha's attitude, he always wanthings to go exactly as he wants, he thinks everything can be fixed by his own method which is dominance.

Their relationship is such a complicated thrill, 😅. I wonder how the writer plans to end this

Yeah the preview is what concerns me. After she made that decision, Doha is suppose to give her the space she desire, then she will realize and come to terms on her own she still wants to be with Doha. Making Doha overly jealous and tagging along in her relationship with the lawyer is not good plot development at all and will degrade his character, cause at the end, if she finally give in to Doha, it will seem like a forced and manipulated love. She is to come back to Doha on her own will not the other way round.

Giving we never know how things will turn out in this drama, I'm hoping as well Ep7/8 will do justice

What do you think of the lawyer? To me, he seems to already solved the puzzle between Doha and Hakyung in earlier episode. I think he is aware they both like each other or at least they mean alot to each other. He is smart enough to know that.

Do you think he has other reasons for asking Hakyung out or he really likes her and didn't let Doha know on this before making a move on her. Considering he likes to be professional, don't you think it's out of character for him?

On the lawyers part, I will still hold my breath till Ep7 to conclude on his character. He is smart and intelligent enough to know Hakyung likes Doha and enough to know professional it is wrong, so that proposal felt a little off to me. Once it's confirmed that he actually means going out with hakyung in Ep7, it means they are ruining his character

That's one of their biggest issue now, while putting the narrative on the FL, they are overdoing to the point they are yet to give the ML the development he deserves.

Okay I get you now. Your take is on why viewers are displeased. Using the lawyer guy as a distraction and lawyer guy being the one that even suggested they go out is not okay because of the professional aspect to it. You are right on that, that's why I say I hope he has his reasons cause his character is too intelligent for that and the FL seems only to be making flawed decision/judgement.

I think you didn't get my point. Firstly, we are not in the healing part of the show, I believe that will happen in the second half. Now about the lawyer guy, remember where I said every character seems to play part in FL development and I also said her fear of abandonment has scarred her till the point her judgement is flawed.

The lawyer guy is her excuse not to give in to Doha, for her, he is the right distraction she needs not to get attached to Doha and that is all because of that fear that Doha will one day leave her. her deciding to go out with lawyer guy actually proves my point.

Let me also add this, I believe the lawyer have a different reason why he want to date hakyung because he doesn't seem like that guy who will just fall in love with his clients at an instance. He's character is too intelligent not to know Hakyung likes Doha. So I believe he has his own reason but we will see.
