So from the reactions I am reading this episode will gut me and just leave me that way. I think I might wait until…
It doesn't necessarily gut you, it ends in melancholy though, but we all know the issue will be resolved soonish. It wasn't as gut wrenching as I thought beforehand. Someone is just a bit slow on the uptake lol. On the other hand, the ending was irksome, so waiting until next week might not be such a bad idea.
I love how delicately Ohm and Nanon are able to express emotions. That's what makes this so enjoyable. That last scene in episode 3 where Pat was looking at Pran; his face went 3..2..1 from 'I like being around this guy a lot' to nothing but pure 'I utterly adore the person I'm looking at'. Later Pran looked so freaking vulnerable trying to understand what Pat really meant by his teasing, OMG can it be Friday already!
😂but why do people care so much about top/bottom thing... I genuinely do not understand this,
I don't think people are trying to offend you per se, it's just that the top/bottom conversation is generally irritating to people who think about heteronormativity, homophobia and misogyny, and those terms really are important when it comes to LBTQ representation.
BAD BL The BL genre does like its stereotypes. It's annoying to me that as a woman I'm supposedly in the target audience, and the authors/producers think what I as a woman want, is a story laced with stereotypes, heteronormativity, homophobia and misogyny. Also, I think they should lay off writing any explict refrences to sex if all they can offer is a mockery of homosexuality and consent. (I'm looking at you MAME and JittiRain) I mean at its worst BL comes off as heteronormative homophobic pandering to girls, while representing tops as rapey and bottoms as people who don't even like sex, are repeatedly saying "No" and are somehow bargained into it inspite of themselves. Just like with the misogynist idea that if you are a so called 'good girl', you're supposedly not a sexual being at all. That's just twisted.
BAD BUDDY The director is not following the novel. If you wan't to go with general tropes, so far I'd say the show gives off pretty strong verse vibes i.e. that bed scene at the end of episode 2. Pat:"You know I'm stronger!" Pran: "Oh, yeah? Fight me if you think you can!" I haven't read the novel, and don't want to, since at this point I suspect most Asian BL novels will probably make want to scream in frustration.
I'm kinda obsessed, next episode please, hate the wait. So far I like it almost as much as WBL, which is to say, a lot! I'm hoping it stays as good as it promises to be, and won't get as angsty as people say the novel is.
Are they really kissing both the male lead or is it editing
Did you see episode 2? Why would you think that's editing? It's not. Or have you not seen either season of the show, and are asking if they use camera angles to make it look like they are kissing? It's obvious they are really kissing on both season 1 and 2.
Most of the time the rating doesn't reflect the quality, it's like pop music, it's a "pop= popular" the most popular…
HIS3 Trapped versus Cherry Magic is a good example of how ratings don't reflect artistic merit, though. For non-professional critics part of rating shows is just how you feel about a show over all, it's not a scientific process. Like I have them rated the same, even though Cherry is better made. It's just that I personally find the super awkward Japanese show style a bit boring, even though I come from a non-English speaking culture that relates deeply with awkward and silence. In the end, what I do and don't like about each of the shows balances out and they get around the same rating.
So Keam, you know who you're into, finally? Silly double entendre noted. Keam: Ball, you want my *egg? Ball: ??? (Excuse you! Say what now? Rude!) Keam: ...I mean my boiled eggz. Ball: Ummm... no thanks!
just started watching this n i dont really get the rating. before this sort of rating was for really bad bl's.…
Yeah, I think it's nice, but it's not quite as cohesive as say Together With Me( 8.0), or even 2gether (7.9) which went downhill towards the end. I mean the script doesn't feel as well thought out and the acting has some really good moments, but sometimes devolves into delivering lines accompanied by excessive head bobbing etc. (Also, please could they not film up the actors nostrils lol. That's probably just my personal issue though.) Anyhow, Nitiman is less all over the place than Love Sick from 2014 rating at 7.7 and less oh so boring to me than say Theory of Love at 8.1. I should probably adjust my own rating scale, since 7.6. feels a bit low for this, but I still don't know how I could rate it an 8.0.
Does anyone know what exactly WeTV are releasing on the 25th? I thought it was just one special episode, with unreleased material...But there's been some weird stuff said around my interwebs, so now I'm confused.

It ain't incest. There is 0% of same blood in them. Yong Jie doesn't even share same surname LOL.
I think you are arguing over semantics. Your definition of incest isn't an universal truth (valid for all times and in all places), like you said yourself. Therefore you can't say "it is incest, becauses it is". That's claiming an absolut that simply is not true. Same goes for the people that claim it's not incest. Everyone is just giving their subjective opinion. To some cultures it's about genetic relationships, to others also social family relationships. It's incest and it's not incest, both are true at the the same time.
