Okay, I feel like this was directed at me so I should throw in my two cents. I didnt tell anyone to "shut up or…
I never said you did. I see these comments A LOT on BLs so I was talking about a more general audience, not your comment specifically. When I see the "just drop it" comments, the undertone I get is basically if you don't like it, stop commenting about what you don't like.
I see what you're saying and I mostly agree, but like I said, if they want to drop they will and if they don't they won't. Sure, in some cases I do find some the negative comments petty and I'll usually roll my eyes and keep scrolling, but in most cases I don't. The statement "if you don't like drop it" (I'd be a millionaire if I had a penny for every time I saw this) is almost a blanket statement because not liking a show doesn't always mean you despise it enough to drop. I'm not sure if this makes sense, so tell me if I need to elaborate or rephrase.
I didn't like Unforgotten Night but I don't hate it because a lot of bits were entertaining. If you do hate a show and still watch for no other reason than to bash it afterwards, that's when I start getting judgemental. Anyway, my comment is not meant to start arguments, but to give my opinion just like you did.
Just like last week, I enjoyed this episode. It does lack something but I don't feel that ep 5 was a waste, because for me some things started to make more sense. I am still a bit confused on the whole 7th and 21st thing, the dates aren't making much sense but I'm sure it will as time goes on.
And also, I quite dislike the idea that goes around that if you don't like a show, you must drop it. People can have many reasons for dropping or not dropping a show. If they want to drop, they will. Us telling them to basically 'shut up or leave the forum' isn't going to change a thing. I've sat through shows I don't like just to complete it, or to give it a chance and see if it improves, or because I don't have anything better to do.
No negative opinion on a show is going to spoil my enjoyment of it unless they're being extremely toxic. This is a site specifically for people to give their opinion on dramas, whether positive or negative. I enjoy reading other opinions, it makes the comment section more interesting and balanced.
Team stop lying to yourself.
Also, thank you for being civilised, many people on this site aren't when they disagree with one of my comments.
