I dropped Legend of the Female General because I just couldn’t get past the female lead pretending to be a man in the military. She looks and sounds far too feminine, so the disguise isn’t convincing at all. If a drama wants me to believe such a setup, the actress should at least look the part, taller, more androgynous, or somewhat masculine. Instead, the show clearly prioritizes aesthetics over realism, and I just couldn’t suspend my disbelief. This kind of plot no longer works for me, so I had to drop it. Nothing about her physical screams general.
