For anyone who fell in love with JoongDunk’s chemistry, here is your chance to see them live! Their fancon is happening this April, and tickets are still available, get yours now! http://thaiticketmajor.com
the final EP didn't sell out? oh damnnn 😬 I feel sorry for all the actors, that mustn't feel nice..
Yes THK was great but that was the start of the Thai fandom exodus because even that finale didn’t sell out despite it having 2 fandoms. Then this meh show with crappy directing and editing was only popular within the fandom only. I just hope the Ceo show will get better reception, JD have been a couple for years now and can't keep getting embarrassed like this while their mates are getting more popular. I don't want them to be left behind. But I think we will sell out for 2 days at least. Even if we struggle to sell out the second day as long as we sell out the 1st day very fast we will get day 2. A fancon is much better than a fanmeet and the interfan base will definitely travel, I am traveling for it as well if i get a ticket so I’m not worried.
Some people really need to learn to accept criticism. If you can accept the biased praises showered on this comment…
You literally can't leave an honest review anywhere anymore, Reddit, Twitter, MDL, without being labeled a jealous hater. MDL is supposed to be a review site, but stans have turned it into a massive group chat that only exists to glaze their faves. I saw someone get told to shut up last week because they supposedly know nothing about acting just for pointing out a flat performance.
How are these actors supposed to grow if they’re treated like toddlers and showered with fake praise 24/7?
I’ve watched every single JoongDunk drama since SIMM. Dunk is my bias. I support him, I buy streaming tickets, i buy merch, and I want him to succeed. But I’m also not delusional, he is not a strong actor. Saying that isn't hating, it’s a fact. I actually want him to see all the constructive criticism because I believe he can do better if he’s given the right tools and actually challenged.
Only insecure, selfish fans feel the need to force everyone into a toxic positivity bubble. It’s okay to admit the leads were lacking. We can blame the editing, the mid directing, or the messy supporting cast all we want, but that doesn't change the fact that the performances weren't there. It’s not the end of the world, they have another BL coming this year. I just wish the fandom cared more about their actual growth than protecting an image.
Wow this is such a strong argument 👏🏼So people need to be singers to spot bad singers, Actors to point out terrible acting. Chefs to call out bad cooking. Ok. 🤣
I completly agree with you. Joongdunk are my second favorite couple after ppw and i love them on simm and ha.…
I loved Hidden Agenda so much! They don’t have to keep doing college stories, adult stories are fine, but not like this, especially knowing GMMTV’s track record.
I don’t think GMMTV always gives them projects, they choose. I saw a clip of William saying he chose You Maniac himself, even though his team warned him it might be too intense. So maybe JD chose this drama themselves, wanting to challenge themselves, but ended up with a weak production team. I'm sure they are frustrated as well.
THK did well, but not strongly enough in Thailand to sell out their fan party and this new one still hasn’t sold out after five days. They’ve been around for years, they have great chemistry and they’re so likable. But a big international fandom can’t replace strong domestic support and that’s what matters most.
It’s just disappointing because they truly deserve better.
dare you to death premiere with only joongdunk on stage sold out. for final episode with joongdunk and avengers…
That is why I mentioned the finale not the first episode. The glitch with the website was fixed on the 15th. I and many other people bought tickets and we didn’t have any problems. The show not selling out has nothing to do with JD but with the show. I am a multistan and I see a lot of tweets from different fandoms and right now Interfans are trying to buy tickets to give to Thai fans so they can go to the fanmeet why would they be doing that if the site is not working? It is common knowledge that JD have more interfans than Thai fans these kinds of shows appeal more interfans than Thai people. Heartkillers finale also struggled to sell out because of this. I would like them to be in shows that will win over Thai fans so that they grow their fandom over there. Let's not get defensive everytime we all want them to be successful, not every comment is an attack.
Honestly, it might be time for JoongDunk to step away from these complex, high-concept shows for a while. These genres are incredibly difficult to pull off if the production team is incompetent, the flaws really show. It seems the Thai audience just wants fluffy, cute storylines they can enjoy without thinking too much. The fact that they are struggling to sell out the finale fanmeeting tickets says a lot about this show.
I just went to the IG accounts people are talking about and those guys are still posting each other. What type of fanservice would they be possibly doing 3 years after their show ended? Ya'll are the reason why actors never come out of the closet because even if they do like BillyBabe you will just down play it and claim they are doing fanservice. https://www.instagram.com/p/DS7r0Y1AZup/?img_index=10

my absolute favorite review so far. i read the manhwa as well, and have been insanely disappointed. i’m surprised…
People are purposefully missing the point. I keep seeing people say, “You guys are doing too much. What’s wrong with having a straight couple?” And the answer is: nothing is wrong with straight couples. That’s not the issue. The issue is that this drama gave us two straight couples plus Heesu and Seungwon, when the original manhwa had two gay couples: Heesu and Seungwon, and Heesu’s junior and his guy. And yeah, it is that serious. Because when we let stuff like this slide, it tells studios it’s okay to do things like this. It tells them they can keep watering things down to make it “safe” and “marketable” because the audience won’t push back. Maybe Lily's frustrated too. Maybe she is ok with it. We don’t know. But what we do know is the final product feels like a betrayal. But hey, what can we do except rant about it?
Thank you so much, Joss, for obliterating my last two brain cells. I don’t know who’s dying, who’s in love, or what the hell the golden blood even does because every time you’re on screen, my soul evacuates my body. I’ve stopped reading subtitles. I’ve stopped caring. At this point, I’m just here for you.
I can’t stand the straight couple either, but is this drop in ratings a bit too much? Heesu, his nosy sisters, and his knitting school friend are hilarious. I’m really hoping we get to the gay plot today, because aside from the random tennis and forced straight couple agenda, the show is actually a lot of fun.
