I think if MingYu haven't been so nice with Cheng Xuan when he died, i think Cheng Xu might retaliate/revolt because it is Cheng Xuan wishes.

I also think that too, his character is rather immature and reckless. You always see that Cheng Xu tried to make him calm down and not rush things. But he is a nice balance for Cheng Xu because Cheng Xu always think too much about his relationship with Cheng Rui and Ming Yu, whereas these 2 don't even put Cheng Xu as priorities.
So i really like Cheng Xuan for who he is. He loves his brother really much.
But Cheng Yi's acting is on another level. He is really embodied Cheng Xu, his subtle emotion when he is hurt by betrayal, even when he is angry, there is always these complex emotion within. His loving gaze toward Ming Yu, his helplessness. His decisiveness in battle and his cleverness in scheming in court. He is amazing. He can display different emotion with his Si Feng in L&R.

I also can't wait to actually read the novel, because i am curious about the story, maybe this weekend so i can focus more.
And i think they also create new character for Li Xinze, i want to know based on what character in the novel.
Also i am curious with the actress who played as Gu Ruan Ruan, why is she in Yunnan? Is it just for the drama promotion or is she also filming Yunnan part? And why without the actor who played as Fu Xi Zhou? I thought they were couple LOL Basically i just want to know the change they made for the drama... hehe..

Yes i also hope too.. at least although they might change something to adjust for the drama, but with the author on board, the story might not stray too far from the original and might avoid filler scenes. About product placement, i don't really mind them, only if they are inserted with reasonable logic/story. Not just making things up for the sake of the product. Like James Bond movie with his car as product placement. I think this is pretty cool example.
And yes also for the amount to be not too excessive, otherwise the story flow will get effected.

From the people who already read the novel, they say it does have a happy ending. About love triangle, i am not sure, but both Fu Yun Shen and Zhu Jiu pretty dedicated with each other, so they leave no room for others.

And his other drama, Deep Lurk is in Republican era. So i guess South Wind Knows My Mood is his 1st modern drama as the 1st main leading actor.

Hmm i am not sure, but maybe because in The Lost Tomb 2, he is not exactly the 1st main leading actor, his on screen presence is not as much as the other 2 male leads. I know this because i pretty much only watch his scenes in the drama, that involved many fastforward because his character always disappeared LOL

Me too! I love director Yintao, he and Cheng Yi bond really well. And the drama story need his touch.
And I am not familiar with director Li Ang works.

And it seem there might be a change of director to Li Ang. I hope director Yintao is still on board, because the drama can have more than 1 director.. i really want to see their collaboration again :'(
