Yes his upcoming drama to aired next year Deep Lurk is a republican era drama. I am really looking forward to this drama, because from the trailer, they also used his real voice in it :D And the story seem interesting.

I know Cheng Yi will be good in this drama but is the female lead’s acting good too?
I think she is good in emotional scenes. She is rather lack in subtle/duality expression between respect vs love, innocence of youth. Overall she is good enough.
