I think deep down, Fugui dad realized his son did change, if before he will test his son by forcing his sword toward him, that is why Fugui is angry because his dad is using his own life as test. But now, Fugui didnt fall for that anymore, he directly throw his dad sword away. But i guess it still wont erase what his past experience has taught him.
