That is why he is so hurt that dad still cant see that and finally choose to leave because their way of life is not the same anymore. And he left the sword there because now it became the sword for killing innocents. When they said to kill those who cross the line to do crime, it should applied to all. Not all human is good, and not all demon is bad either. The evil mastermind already being killed, why the rest of the villagers who dont know anything should be killed too? And those elders, when his action threaten their interests, they all coming to punish Fugui, disregard all his efforts of protecting them😤 just want the obedient killing machine😤😤😤
I think deep down, Fugui dad realized his son did change, if before he will test his son by forcing his sword toward him, that is why Fugui is angry because his dad is using his own life as test. But now, Fugui didnt fall for that anymore, he directly throw his dad sword away. But i guess it still wont erase what his past experience has taught him. I think "impossible" is what both father and son have to face to move forward.
I like that Fugui whenever he is confused or not sure, he will ask directly and finding out by himself. No, it is stand alone drama. Beside, they also explained the other series from the flashback. The ending, nobody knows because eventhough it based from the donghua, but they also have their own story line, so just enjoy the ride. So far it is happy scenes☺️☺️☺️
