Yes me too. I feel people tend to taken for granted good people and their demand for them double. But Xiao Ming Ming didnt immediately become hero. From modern people who only think the people inside the game are not real, and he just want to get out quickly by doing the task, then living Qiushui's life, grew attached to Xiao family (mom and dad really super sweet, they both love him in their own way, he is an orphan so to finally have a warm family again is dream come true). His belief in chivalry grew stronger because of the people he met. It is not everyday you meet people who die for saving you, it is rare in our world. And he is really genuinely sweet caring person and a man with principle, lead by example, because he sacrifice his life to reveal the bad people deed and save people life, just because it is the right thing to do and to protect the people he love. He never force them, he respect their free will. Like for his sister, he knew she was force to married but since she said she is willing, all he could do is to protect her until she herself want to get out from the marriage. And also with general Wu, he respect his decision to sacrifice himself to proof his loyalty to the emperor, but once he is in danger, he come to rescue him. And Li Chenzhou, he questioned him why he still want to support the emperor eventhough he poisoned him, for modern people like us, we only support good leader. But since he is willing to proof his loyalty, so he respect his decision. And that is also the reason why he want to cooperate with him later (although that scenes was cut). And those people who transfered their energy to him, it is because he is trustworthy to inherit them, even that 8 masters, if he is just some random guy who happened to meet them, they gonna ignore him and continue fighting till they died. They valued their martial art skills so much (that is the reason they are fighting all those years) so the inheritor must be someone trustworthy to continue their legacy, to proof who is the best among them. He united Shaolin and Wudang not by force (like Crazy Yan want to do) but because he show them if they collaborate the force will be stronger. So he is really a good leader and kind man.
