I don't really understand chinese law, but it seems they really careful to identity self defense. It showed from the discussion between the lawyer who is the ex boyfriend of the judge vs his western colleague. Although LXY's situation is not an urgent situation according to the law, but they pretty much in hostage situation, he and his mom are being followed everywhere. And after what happened to his mom, although they could avoid the 1st time, who would know if they could avoid the 2nd time. And the more longer they are in that situation, he is more and more desperate, and losing his mind. For him, the threat is there, and nobody around him could help them.
I really like how the drama portrayed everyday life of working people, how we struggle in every hard decision we make at work, how to deal with the pressure. The story flow naturally, no paparazzi, no over the top press conference that you often find in chinese modern dramas 🤪🤪🤪 No boring scenes too. And it really show that the scriptwriters really studied and understand the real life of law civil servants.
And off course, i really love our adorable Zhou Yi An, who is so good at socializing, to his boss and colleagues, and he still dare to speak his mind when he think he is right, and ended up bickering with his boss hahaha. His pridefullness, his stubborness, even make him more adorable. 😉😉😘😘😘

It is tribute drama and really prestigious too, with full support from Supreme People's Court (they even did the drama's announcement, it is the 1st time ever!) and with good team behind the production, so it is good opportunity for him to open up his horizon for his future dramas.
