My expectations were way too high, but I loved "almost" every minute of it (I'm biased). The last 3 episodes were either filler, set up for season 3 or both. And with the way it ended, I can wait years for season 3.
"Blossom in Adversity, aptly named. Let it cook for about 6 episodes or so and you won't be disappointed. Jing Yi is one of my newer favourite actresses, she is a talented lady and she chooses good roles for herself. But the one who surprised me the most was Lu Yu Xiao, she was great.
Oh the tears I cried. π This was just beautiful, Hong Wan Ling's mind is just so amazing, honestly. And man, I bet something-something happened in the novel between Shen Li and the Golden Serpent Demon in that cave. π¬
Okay, I'll give "Back from the Brink" another chance.
Took me a minute to finish, but not because it was bad (far from it), I just couldn't get into it for some reason, but I made sure I finished it. I loved me some Gu Ran, he was my favourite.π
Just Beautiful, good acting, good cast, good writing πΈ (could've done without the last 10 minutes though).
I was in the mood for a slice of life with little or no romance, but instead I got a whole loaf. My word!! it was problem after problem with these people, even when they found solutions they were never happy for long because they jumped straight into another problem.
I was healing with both of them throughout...such a good drama. Park Hyung Sik's comedic timing doesn't get enough credit and I think it rubbed off on Park Shin Hye too, I liked her acting in this.π
The Hong Ran character, I don't know if she's just not well written or if it's the actor's portrayal of the character, but there's something I didn't like.π€

Oh! Gina Gina Ginaπ€¦ββοΈ
It's still a no, but I recently watched him on "A Killer Paradox", probably wrote a thirsty comment there knowing myself.
The vision was there, just not fully realised, but still entertaining.
But he did grow on me on the second half of the drama though, not gonna lie.

(at least for this)
Move 1. Nanon, 2. Tay or
3. Perth up the lineup and we'll be talking...
(Fourth is good too).

The FL didn't have good character development, even the Wh*re of Babylon was more interesting than her.
(and I'm not coming for Gina, I like GinaπΈ)
