Well , my theory got debunked 😂. But yes you have a point . One thing that is confirmed though is that soo yeon and chun woo were related ( as we see in ep 7 ) .

I have a really wild theory : What if Soo yeon is Ji hyuk's sister ? which would explain why she frankly talks to him * shrugs * and also why chun woo called him his 'brother ' ( in case soo yeon was engaged to chung woo ) . There is another instance where when soo yeon made Ji hyuk promise him , Ji hyuk said something like "Are you asking me as a colleague or ..." and Soo yeon said it's both . So maybe she asked for the favor as a sister ? ( not sure if the translation got lost in the subs ) . OR OR Chun woo is actually his brother and that's how these three are related . * another shrug * Plus i mentioned this before but when i re-watched episode 1 , the person in the car with soo yeon looked like Chun woo . Two people at most have approached Je yi ( as far as i remember ) : soo yeon and dong gyun . Since soo yeon is unconscious , it could be dong gyun . Plus remember commissioner Do said that they'll wait for their opportunity to stir things up ? Maybe Dong gyun did offer Je yi a deal , so that commissioner Do can step in ( and appoint Ji hyuk an in charge of a case as we see in the preview of episode 7 ) .
