This episode was boring. I couldn't care less about the GL couple since they are just glorified prop in the series, and I'm starting to get tired of Per acting like a child and Mild being as expressive as a rock. Actresses must have had facial muscle pain after giving disgusted/annoyed/fake cries realness for the whole episode. Gun's face (aka Natha) was really something when crying. I'm still not sure if she was trying to cry or make a mar-a-lago face.
I was wondering this while watching the series and I can't seem to find an answer for it, but why is every line…
He's speaking mandarin and they dubbed over his voice. The Chinese campagny financing the drama imposed them to cast him. The BTS of this drama were a mess.
The writing is so bad since ep 5. It will end up bellow 7.0 and it will be deserved if it stays that way.
The explanation regarding Knight & Mild past "event" is stupid. Dragging the misunderstanding for two episodes was unnecessary. And while the worst is avoided, the way it is handled is still quite problematic. The secondary couple β my favorite β is a little more interesting, but their problems are artificial. Like in too many dramas, characters could just talk instead of cuting communication and staying silent. They're supposed to be somewhat mature people lol.
I just started bench watching this serie and I have a question for French speakers: How is it Inn/Rati's French?
Sometimes awful, other times moderately bad. He couldn't ask for help in French in Paris without people asking to switch to English. But no reason for this to stop you from enjoying the drama.
I both find this ending a little disappointing and think it could have been worse.
The good: both Yunjae & Jieun got their shit together. Yunjae because he seems to have got to term with the fact he loves Jieun regardess of her body (a true pansexual king forl his girl, sort of). Jieun because she gets that 1) she didn't do any favor to Yunjae by breaking up with him 2) she can be herself with him regardless of the body she's in.
They also missed the occasion to address further Yunjae's mother reaction. But I'm probably asking for too much there.
I won't talk about Minju because I've already said enough about here. Overall I liked Jieun's friend couple, they were cute at the end. I couldn't have care less about the sister's adventures however.
Yes people would benefit by reading actual historical accounts of what it was like to be gay in the sixties and…
That's the main issue with historical BLs. They either are unrealistic (and in the process erase the struggle it was to be queer) or they make many fans stupidely angry at characters because they don't want to understand what they're watching and won't accept cheating and/or a sad ending. It can't just be lovey-dovey & fluff.
What a disaster it quickly became. Still not having the explanation of what truly happened isn't sustainable, especially considering the way it was dealt with by the characters in this episode. It's just so bad.
anyone willing to admit the second couple is eating MileApo up in the chemistry department ?
MileApo leave me bored (last scene of the episode included). I like them, but Mile's character doesn't interest me one bit. And it has nothing to do the NC scenes like someone says below.
This is getting really ridiculus. Minju isn't just awful, her behavior regarding Jihun doesn't make much sense…
Jihun asking to break-up with Yunjae doesn't make sense to me. She clearly loves him. And it's obvious that he loves her too, even as Jihun. Yes, he's straight, but he definitely loves her regardless of the body she is in and he is getting used to the situation. Remember the moment when he wanted to kiss Jihun, when he says he likes Jihun, when he says he will miss him, etc.
So breaking-up is a really weird choice, to say the least. The writing is very sloppy. If they want to sell us a break-up while she's again in her male body, they should have writen Yunjae & Jieun very differently. Even worse if they want to make the stalker/sexual harasser temporarily wins.
This is getting really ridiculus. Minju isn't just awful, her behavior regarding Jihun doesn't make much sense anymore. And regarding the preview of the next episode that we got:
I just watched the first episode but I already would rather see Trin with Victor than with Tanwa, and I feel this is going to frustrate me. So far I'm really not a fan of Tanwa. Also, I find the pacing a little too slow, so I hope it's just because it's the first episode.
They really should stop with all these French lines of dialogue when it's not absolutely required by the storyline. Or at least not pretend like they're all really good at. it. I can't help but laugh at them. The funiest thing was Dech teaching French words to Mek while butchering them all in the process. It's been months Dech started studying and he still can't do nasal vowels? Rati must be a bad teacher lol.
I initially started this drama for Great, but I this point I'm way more invested in Aou x Boom. Sarin & Great's storyline is moving too slowly. I find the overall pace of the drama a little too slow for me too.

Now, the bad...
First, they really really watered down what could have been a beautiful message. Even without a kiss, they could have go on a date as Yunjae/Jihun, be more intimate, etc. Anything to show how much both actually grew and became really confortable with the situation would have been welcomed. But instead they mostly decided to let it to our deluded imagination.
The fact that Jieun can still transform into Jihun is also not really addressed. They even leave it open to interpretation, suggesting that since they reunided it never happened again, and maybe it won't ever. Why? We don't know. I feel like even something as clichΓ© as a true love's kiss given by Yunjae to Jihun to explain it would have been better than not giving any explanation.
To me these two things indicate either a lack of courage (being from the author and/or the director and/or the broadcaster) or a lack of understanding of the subject they chose as the main focus of their drama.
They also missed the occasion to address further Yunjae's mother reaction. But I'm probably asking for too much there.
