What the fk? She got bury alive and found in a river, no back story on how the fk she got there. Nah bruh. And…
The way I look at it, all dramas are somewhere on the spectrum of utterly illogical/unrealistic to somewhat so. So, pick your poison! π And there's a huge variety of things within the spectrum. In my (admittedly) limited experience, most Cdramas do not lean towards the somewhat illogical/unrealistic but down towards the utterly illogical/unrealistic. But they CAN be entertaining!
well, im at ep 4.... i dont know if i should keep watching it.imo weak hero is better. i find the comments here…
My impression was it's stylized to feel webtoon-like; Weak Hero is also stylized and exaggerated but not in a comedic way, so it feels more "realistic." Honestly, I think WH and this are both extremely unrealistic, just in different ways. WH is heavier, while this is more lighthearted. This one has adults who care. In WH, every single adult was pathetic and checked out.
Overall, very different vibes from them! I see why people tend to compare them, but apart from high schoolers engaging in fist fights and the theme of friendship, there's very little to compare. π
I dropped this at ep 16 but the good rating makes me believe I should give it another chance
The middle bit was a definitely a little slow (the part about the Crown Prince and his concubine), but I thought the end was very sweet because you get the leads being cute together after the ML and his "wife" that he was forced to marry get divorced. There are lots of cute scenes of the leads finally getting to be together. It wraps up nicely--I'd recommend it!
Same writer (Lee Naeun) and the same actor (Choi Wooshik). But I think people are talking about this: https://x.com/leedoohyuns/status/1890539850283069900?t=981R_l9DGU5sgfp8ZGVnEQ&s=19…
Oh, yes, I remember that scene from Our Beloved Summer! π
Ayo he doesnβt fall for her as a robot, right? πππ That is kinda disturbing, so I hope not
I always saw it as him knowing, deep down, that she's a human as he gets to know her better. He does start to feel attachment and affection for her that puzzles and confuses him, but I don't think it's until after he finds out that she's human that he really realizes his feelings for her in earnest (if I remember correctly).
She acts and reacts like a human from the beginning, smirks and blinks, there's nothing robotic about the actress'…
Yes, but he believes wholeheartedly that he will have an allergic reaction to touching a human. He does not have that reaction when touching her, so in his mind it's impossible (as far as his logic goes) for her to be human. He has also been told she's the most sophisticated robot out there. These two things paired together make ironclad proof for him.
But it's also a completely ridiculous premise from the get-go. A person gets an allergic reaction to touching humans? A woman pretends to be a robot? Nothing about this show is realistic. It's just a fun story told in the fantasy world it creates. It's not meant to be completely convincing. π
The ML is a creep. a handsome creep, but still a creep. And he has what he believes is the most sophisticated…
You can only enjoy it if you realize the premise is ridiculous. If you can do that (honestly, many kdramas are like this, though), then it's quite a sweet watch! I don't know how far you got, but the ML improves significantly as the drama progresses. I didn't particularly care for him in the first half, but he slowly crept into my heart as it went along. π
Yeah, there are some people obsessed with stirring the pot here. π€·ββοΈ I added one of them as my second…
Yes! And after all, it's entertainment. It's not that serious. Making this your hill to die on... not worth it! Find some actual worthy, meaningful cause towards which you can channel your passionate heart instead. π
Park Bogum!!! Haven't seen him as a lead since Record Of Youth. He's so lovable, but I can't imagine a drama set in the 50's in Korea will have a cozy, feel-good ending...
Darn it, Bogum! Why'd you have to pick a sad one as your next drama? π
What a demeaning way to start a post. π

Still hoping they'll make a remake of that someday, but still have Gaemi do the music. π
And the 2ML and 2FL have to be some of the most annoying second leads in all of Kdramaland. π

Haha, thanks for demystifying it for me! π
