Liked the first two episodes as the ML and FL have good chemistry. I've always liked Kim Ji Won especially in…
I wonder if the 2ML has a bigger scheme afoot, and "romancing" the FL has something to do with it? He needs to get her where he wants her, or something like that? But he most certainly seems shady.
That's what more episodes are for. :) Right now they're turning the soil and planting seeds. I'm sure there will…
There's definitely more to it than what appears to be the case; this is a classic Kdrama move of withholding important information that will be pieced together later, but also, some of this is the black comedy coming through. You're supposed to see that he felt like a caged, trapped animal looking for an escape in Episode 1, and now he sees a way out. THAT'S what he's happy about. It's not like he's plotting her murder.
Also, when you get distanced from a spouse (and so jaded in your connection to them) to the point that you want to divorce them, you're probably not going to be that bothered by the thought of them dying, especially if they don't seem sick at all. So, to him at this point, it doesn't feel real (which is what the drama is taking advantage of to showcase some tweaked humor so that we're aware of how desperate he is and start squirming for him to change and become a better person). So yeah, instead of going the obvious route and making it heavy and serious, they're playing it for laughs; but I'm confident he will feel VERY differently soon.
Meaning the humor is trying to get you to laugh at stuff that isn't usually funny because it's dealing with sad/or heavy stuff (like death or illness or racism or abuse, etc.). The tags warned viewers that that type of humor would be present in this drama. It's not everyone's cup of tea!
I'm born cuteHe said he was playing homage to KJW - ae-rahttps://www.instagram.com/reel/C4cbqSPL1mv/?igsh=MWU0OHVmbTc2aGd1MQ==
Oh, that's so cute and hilarious! And her aegyo in that was SO famous.
I think KSY's drunk scene in this is going in the books, too. Leave it to Soo Hyun to make a drunk scene amongst one of hundreds upon hundreds of drunk Kdrama scenes become iconic and stand out. π
Trailers show HW fighting some people so it only makes sense that they would get one.
Huh, do you think it will be a significant amount of fighting? I remember CLOY kind of mish-mashed genres, so I suppose this one might be doing the same.
1600 users have given their ratings in 3 days ! Guys it's one fastest ? Or it's just normal trend here on MDL.
I've noticed if the drama is good, it often (not always) garners a high rating pretty quickly, and then will maintain the high rating after it's finished airing. There's usually a bit of a dip after a drama ends but sometimes it actually goes up, but the really strong ones don't dip drastically. A lot of people on here mistrust the ratings, and while I think rating a drama after 2 episodes is premature, I usually find MDL ratings pretty helpful (there's the quality rating and then popularity ranking; both taken together are pretty indicative of a drama's timelessness). There are a few odd ones that felt really off to me from their rating, but most I've found are helpful gauges for what I'll like/what's good.
This is looking good. Hyun-woo and Hae-in might not have the healthiest relationship, but I'm all for them to…
Yes, badly written dramas show characters with flaws but don't offset them with anything to leave you expecting/wanting more. They have to get you to care just enough about the characters despite their flaws, and that's a tricky balance to strike, but I think this drama is doing it so far.
Individually I love all the actors in this show... Specially Main Leads are so beautiful together.... But as a…
That's what more episodes are for. :) Right now they're turning the soil and planting seeds. I'm sure there will be more development as we progress; I think it means there's a chance for a strong drama from start to finish so we don't get a weak ending because everything was rushed and the character growth frontloaded.
Lots of kdramas recently but many disappointing ones. Hope this one will be good on the whole distance.
Yeah, most of the good ones all happen around November/December cause award season is around the corner (that's my theory, anyway). :P The rest of the year is very hit and miss.
