This was more like a historical comedy/life drama to me. I enjoyed it overall. If you like romance dramas they…
This is 100% a slow burn, but the wait is worth it. I found the romantic scenes between them later on really natural and sweet, and much-earned. Everyone was SO patient! π
I feel like more men interestered in learning what a growing number of women appreciate in relationships should watch stories like this (if their maculinity can bear it...).
The ML waits so kindly, patiently and with much self-restraint to be with his beloved (anachronistic, I know, but this show is more satirical than historical--it's like he cares more about HER than about getting something FROM her--what a concept?).
Many couples want closeness and trust in relationship, but instead of making it all about sex, the healthy lovemaking comes after extending dignity to the other person (not trying to make moves before they're ready, being thoughtful and attentive to what they are comfortable or uncomfortable with), learning the other person has your best interest at heart, and growing in intimacy through vulnerability (on both sides). These elements allow things to steam up naturally and authentically and I thought they portrayed that well. Guys are not animals, so let's show them a better way. π
Todayβs episode was so good. Iβm even more excited for tomorrowβs episode! I feel like Tae Hyeong is going…
Whoa, he already has feelings for her? Did that materialize in ONE episode? π I haven't watched the episode yet, but that's fast, especially for a Kdrama, haha.
Honest question: why would yoi shower in the morning? I always do it in the evening, to wash off all the dirt,…
Morning showers get me started with the day and wake me up. I feel clean, fresh and fully alert rather than greasy and half-awake. π Just me, though. My hair also looks much less bedgraggled and limpid after showering in the morning, too.
Of course it's necessary as it follows the novel where she actually dated SML before splitting and being with…
In the drama I couldn't see what would make the 2ML someone good to date. He just felt kind of pathetic and sad to me, like he needed to get some help and some friends and to get away from his awful family.
Iβve just noticed that all the cases weβve watched involve women, which really highlights how little respect…
And I've noticed the costume dramas emphasize female dignity and male/female equity morr than the modern dramas, which tend to fall into more traditional cultural norms. It seems riskier with censorship to do stories like Flourished Peony in modern Cdramas. It's as if the "historical" time period gives a bit more boldness to writers (Under The Skin was pretty bold, but in general I find the modern Cdramas less willing to take risks in critiquing current cultural norms). They're much more free to critique past cultural norms in the dramas set in outdated or fictional settings.
Well it's more complex and all, but for the sake of the plot, it's happening. usually um i've seen in turkish…
Well, in the U.S. I believe the aunt or uncle could take the baby if they are adults, and especially if they were chosen in the will and trust to be those caretakers. But usually children go to next of kin (if not otherwise indicated, I would assume) unless the next of kin is not of age or they are not fit, etc. I think foster care or an orphanage is last resort/worst case scenario.
was about to ask does rating of each ep matters cause ( i heard in the end its the VIP membership people whoses…
Is VIP the same as "verified"? Cause there's a way you can verify your account and I heard someone claim it does give your rating a bit more weight, but I don't have evidence beyond that comment. It gives you a little indicator on your profile, too. She's had instructions for how to verify it so I did. π€·ββοΈ
there is a censorship ban for all types of transmigration and reincarnation plots. but that doesnβt stop people…
I guess it depends on what you mean by "new." π I'm pretty selective so I only watch ones I think I'll probably like, and the ones I have seen that had transmigration elements were all written out of it or made to look like something else (Guardians of the Dafeng, Joy of Life, etc.), which is why I was confused that it seemed like this one had it in the synopsis as a ma8n plot point.
FL in today's episode said to ML, what real world what fake world, who is guaranteeing that the world we came…
I wonder why no one can make a good case to those making these laws that anyone who'd be killing themselves in order to attempt transmigration plots does not need a law protecting them. π€¦ββοΈ It's still crazy to me that censorship for this exists; and the reasons for the ban are sheer nonsense.
Your point supports my growing theory that as silly as the rules are, parameters like these bans do sometimes catalyze lots of creativity! π

And I thought censorship forbid transmigration plots? Or am I getting that mixed up with censoring reincarnation?
