Did they cut the scene where she sits on the horse astride facing him, I was thinking it would have been today…
I heard someone say they decided to can that and go with what we saw in Episode 26. It makes sense so they don't confront each other until they're not staring into each other's eyes the entire ride spitting nails with their eyes. π
Legend of female general was very disappointing for me. There were some episodes that I loved but more than half…
I felt like Flourished Peony/In The Name Of Blossom and the Nirvana in Fires stuck with me, but I see what you mean. They are not always deeply thoughtful stories, just a fun romp in costume Cdramaland!
What is your favourite scene in the drama aesthetically? I can't move on from the scene when Yan Zheng reveals…
I was thinking of that one, too. The one of XZ ninja-ing off the wall with his mask was also really cool.
Related but not an answer to your question (it's a line that's said that I really liked), for some reason I really liked when he said, "Careful!" as Changyu wrestled her way off his horse at the beginning of Episode 27. I thought his worry over her in at the beginning of the altercation was so heart melty. He just had to go and ruin it with his line at the end. π

π― It made me realize some people can genuinely like a drama purely due to the leads' chemistry and good looks. The writing can be shoddy and production quality/editing can be poor, and it still won't matter if these other things are present in overwhelming supply. π
guys this is the first ever cdrama which has got rating of 9.2 in mdl π₯π₯lets increase this it deserves more
I think Nirvana In Fire is the other closest and has maintained a 9 or 9.1. As much as I'm enjoying POJ, it still doesn't even come close to NIF... a true masterpiece, that.
Well.. he is the villain.. why would we be pleased to see him.
Cause so many people on here think he's really attractive and he has good chemistry with Qian Qian. But he gives me the heebie jeebies. I don't get the appeal.
I loved XZ's request of Tutor Tao (he's shaping up to be one of my favorite characters). It was genuinely the sweetest.
Also, I liked how familiar and comfortable Tao and XZ were with each other; it shows that Tutor Tao talking smack about his "rascal of a disciple" to CY was largely bluff and bluster. π
And he must be delighted his two favorite humans are a pair! π₯°
Guys, I loved having two (three?) whole episodes without getting to see Qi Min a single time. I might be the only one who feels this way, but he is not my favorite.
The second horse is a puppet. I saw it in the BTS footage. You know when they only show the person on the horse…
Yeah, he's fairly decent. Some actors are definitely better than others. The guys obviously get more opportunities to practice cause there are so many epic shots of MLs going into battle in costume Cdramas. π
It's probably also tricky to ride with their elaborate costumes and weapons and such. π
It would be nice if we saw a flashback, but I can't imagine he'd go there before running to (do what he believed…
Right, he and Gongsun. Impressive that it got pulled off without him (barely, it seems), but also... a little embarrassing that he was M.I.A. for the entire thing. π

They probably get actual stuntmen/women who can ride to film the shots where a clear face is not seen, and then have the actors on fake horses. Obviously Hollywood has a bigger budget for these things than Cdrama studios so they can make it more convincing.
I can often tell the Cdrama actors on horses are terrible at riding (they probably get very basic training and practice); they're really just trying to not fall off and sit somewhat straight in the saddle. π That said, horses in costume Cdramas are not well-treated. It's something that bothers me about Cdramas. π¬
The awkwardness of having the entire camp figure out he lied to his wife and got a private tent to do it in.Luckily,…
Yeah, cause these are mostly General He's troops, right? That's why they don't know who he is?
I also think it'd be cute if they stayed in his army. They can share the CY lore with all of the Marquis's soldiers and get everyone to join CY's fan club. π

I laughed out loud. He can't help it; old habits die hard.
