If a person drags two people for so long - they are not genuine. The fact they were meeting one person and then started seeing someone else says a lot. - on top of that, so many people were just closing their eyes on actions done by the FL.
Also, the SML was super tiring. He was so dramatic about what his father did and how it hurt his mother - yet he didn’t stop and think even once how his actions were affecting someone else.
When will all writers finally realize that the secret to the most legendary shows are characters who actively fight back.. and not just take it?
Both MCs have money, power and connections. So, why are they only taking it from the Queen Dowager? They should play the same game!
The show is fun and their personalities are lovable, but it’s a bit tiring trope in which the FL needs to be stomped by others and then wins by some luck. The potential is out there, so let them use it!
The story is ok-ish and I was looking forward to a chill and down to earth relationship between the lead characters. BUT the 2nd ML is killing it for me.
He acts like a spoiled brat with no respect to boundaries and it just annoys me so much. If that’s how it will be for the remaining episodes, I won’t be able to watch it.
I just wonder why majority of writers think that the FL always needs to be either poor or oppressed/bullied by others?
If the FL was a second lead in any other drama - she would have everyone under her feet. But now even with her powerful background and business, some think they can egg her or put her down?
Also, constitutional monarchies have no similar issues as they are just ceremonial. Even the ones that have issues with people holding titles - it was easily resolved.
In one hand they say how everyone wants to be close to the grand prince as everyone loves him. In the other hand, they act as he has no power and the Queen Mother, whom no one cares about or has the political role, suddenly holds everything.
Every evidence they got was processed in a way “let’s find a way to blame HSA”.
They discovered she was stalked, her partners were murdered, she was basically kidnapped and all they could do is to act rudely and blame her. Meanwhile, zero investigation skills.
It’s still a great show, but I m worried they will push it in the K-Drama logic less dungeon.
I don’t understand why most of writers like to make main characters seem less intelligent than they should be. Don’t get me wrong, I m not saying he’s dumb - but any lawyer would approach things differently.
He would be better to show in proving his ability (like “ok, you write something on a paper and I ll read it), or using these ghosts to spy and source information from the opposing sides. He would ignore ghosts when in public, because no one sees them - so why would you tell them to stay quiet and behave?
And ofc, the villain always figures everything out on their own, even when it has nothing to do with them. But then, a sweet dummy wins and the evil genius loses is the main narrative :/

It’s the people like you who have the need to act as moral compass that do these things. It never even came up to my mind.
As explained above, it was a simple question. Because one person was nice and understanding, I continued with the show and as a matter of fact, I like it.

The only thing I wanted was to confirm if the story was worth of watching or not. There were many shows that I started, but the main storyline would be based on dragging the misunderstanding between characters.
In the world of social media, asking for an advice is not embarrassing.
What’s embarrassing is making assumptions without fully reading or understanding others. On top of that to talk about patience or “following the story” when three sentences are confusing.
I am not the type of person to usually argue, but this type of communication can’t be just taken as it is. :/

My take is that there are multiple variables within the story:
- Chairwoman is most likely behind the FL’s family death. She obviously loves to use fire and insurance fraud, as the FL started detecting. She’s most likely the benefactor of the accident and had her father’s painting insured. - She sells fakes, which then burn in accidents. Refunds the buyers with the insurance, takes some for herself and gets to keep originals. - The photographer friends is obviously obsessed with the FL. He most likely used dirty tricks to make Suho paranoid and drifts him away from the FL. He’s the cause of the main issue. - the SML might be Suho himself. Got a facial surgery to look like his friend, used his money to get through the life and now wants the FL back.
The only person I can’t fully connect is that bar girl, but she might be Suho’s friend keeping an eye on the FL.
The hate towards FL is simply because of "Character Development Arc "which her character never had we…

From the beginning he was pushing everyone away and running away, yet people praised the smallest actions he did.
Yet the FL who had to go through the heartbreak of losing sister, having to raise a kid suddenly and going through the struggle to get the permanent job was made as the selfish person.
People should try doing just one of these and see how they do
She’s depressed for 7 years due to her ex bf’s accident - but now can’t even remember his name or face?
The ML was in an accident, his family was contacted in less than 5 minutes, but he was still on the floor. Now he’s fine, but no one bothered to inform his GF he’s alive? Huh?
