Also he had that situation when he was remembering their break up, he told those words how he finally has the power. Which means he is also going against someone bad

But then Mando became such a selfish jerk. Instead of telling her "sorry, this wont work because i m gay", he put her brother in the spotlight and basically turned all blame towards him.
And then he was "oh poor me, my heart is broken", but for someone who heard his "price" almost killed himself, he wasnt bothered that much. Almost at all, it was still all bout him.
