I'm on episode 6, and my question is: does the homeroom teacher ever do anything? He has to be like the most oblivious person ever, and for some reason he is making me feel angry... I know he's a nice guy, but he doesn't seem to play a role in the story and feels like an unnecessary character.

I was actually considering Signal, since I haven't watched it yet either, but then decided to make a list of potential dramas and show the trailers to my mom and let her decide. So far I have Memories of Albambra, Live, The Player, Healer, The Guardians, and Signal. I think I can work with this! Thanks for your recs though! Let me know if you think of anything else!

OMG I use "While You Were Sleeping" as my go-to converter too! Unfortunately, it did not work on my mom who is still against having to use subtitles. She claimed that its too stressful to remain focused on the text to understand what's going on... I don't know how to convert her too! I know that she enjoy a drama with a really good crime/thriller plot with a bit of romance, but I don't know which drama will reel her in so she won't care about the subtitles anymore. Any recommendations?

I agree with you about the ending, but I think I've seen the "wrapped up too fast" ending in several taiwanese dramas. There was at least more conflict here than in many of the dramas I have watched, so I think I was mostly satisfied.

I liked that the couple got together early on in the drama, and the male lead isn't particularly cold and rude…
I don't think he was necessarily led around by the male lead... I think it was just meant to show how deep their friendship is.
