ahhh gotcha, that's honestly probably for the best though, I heard that a lot of people were complaining about the age gap, at least less people are probably gonna complain since they did as much as they can?
Yes. It's dark and the plot twist is something that has polarised everyone.
ok then I might watch it later... I dropped it around half-way and I think I would need a bit of comedy at least to balance out a darker plot :) Thank you though!

But that's the thing - I don't know if I necessarily want to watch something really dark, does the drama at least have some comedy to lighten the mood a bit?
It's been a long time since I watched this but I'm one of those people who thought she was terrible and ultimately…
Of course I've seen it! The video literally brings me to tears each time.. The message the song conveys fits perfectly to the brothers <3
I can see that actually - Lee Hyun going through life without dating anyone - afterall the two main goals of his life were to catch Lee Joon Young and give his brother the love and care he should have gotten. But in a way, I feel like Lee Hyun also have someone care for him. I mean, he took care of his entire family since he was such a young child - also, his father calling him a monster, that definitely took a toll on him. She was the first person to actually tell him that he isn't a monster and that he should stop thinking of himself like one. Honestly, if not anything, that made me think they both were good for each other.
Ah, I still can't remember her discouraging her boss, maybe I should go for another rewatch? haha
I do agree going into the serial killer's house to look inside the room was kind of a crazy thing to do, I kept feeling like a person watching a horror movie where I'm watching the character slowly walking into the bathroom of an ominous looking house haha.. but honestly, if you remember, the pictures that she collected actually led to them figuring out his "kids", including the guy at the police station... Once they convinced him to be on their side, they had a testimony against the crimes Lee Joon Young committed. So I decided against labeling it as a stupid action, since it actually contributed to the plot as being quite helpful. The scene where she gets caught by Park Bo Gum though.... he acts so well! Honestly, he's the hidden gem of the show though, they way he acts can make you think of him as the most innocent murderer ever - all he really wanted was his brother to remember him, I only wanted him to be happy
That's what I thought too, but if you read the synopsis above, they changed her age to 19... Would she still be in high school? Also, won't the cigarettes not be a problem anymore because she won't be a minor at 19?

I don't know, I didn't think too much about those things... It was kind of obvious that she wanted to keep an eye on Lee Hyun (in denial that she liked him most probably) but I don't really remember her telling her boss not to find the person who broke into her house, I thought she just had conflicted feelings because she also wanted to stay with him longer... also the second thing where Lee Hyun went to talk to the other guy, I think she was upset because he called her as the person of least importance to talk to in a rather rude manner... Honestly, I felt like Lee Hyun seemed more self-centered than the FL. I relate to the feeling that she could have done better on her job though, I didn't really see her being good at her job, but I could see her passion to catch the bad guys which made me like her. Also, you are probably right that the romance was more of an after-thought to the story, but I liked that it wasn't all that critical to the plot - after all what really made me love this drama is the bond between the brothers :)
Take a shot every time someone mentions Melting me softly in relation to this drama. You’ll die of alcohol poisoning…
It's because it hard to see much of the plot, like ok so they both had an cigarette incident, but how does that contribute to the rest of the plot? It kind of reminds me of my first thought of Melting Me Softly, where there was a lack of story/plot.. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to hold it over his head, I love him and his acting skills are top-notch, I just really want this story to have a strong story to be on par with his amazing acting :)
