It is impossible not to compare it with the original... especially when the original drama (and Oguri Shun) left such a strong impression in your mind. I believe so many people wouldn't have dropped it, had they chose experienced actors for leads instead of newbies like Suho.
I love Suho but, unfortunately, the lead role is not for someone to practice their acting skills. If you want to improve your acting skills, take more side roles and musical performances before jumping into a lead role. There are so many seasoned actors they could've chosen instead that have yet to play a male lead (eg. Kim Jae Wook & Lee Soo Hyuk) but they chose Suho because he is an idol with a huge fanbase? It's sad but I guess that's reality.
In addition, Suho has such an innocent face and with his 'average' acting, it really doesn't mix well with his character.
Anyway, I will put aside the acting abilities & Suho's innocent face and continue to watch it for the cliché-story. Maybe.
I am not really sure what you mean by '360' (probably 180) but anyhow MinHo was a selfish prick in the beginning and he is a selfish prick till the very end. And I, for one, am very glad they didn't change him into a nice person in 16 episodes. All dramas do that and to be totally honest doesn't reflect reality all. No one changes into a good person that quickly. Yes, he took care of bo young when she was hurt by Dr. Ye but if he didn't fall for her he would still be treating her as shit.
I kind of understand why the writers left Minho's character like that. The truth is, Minho never really changed…
I agree with you. In all the dramas, the evil characters always have a sudden change of heart and become nice & caring person within 16 episodes. I am so glad they didn't do that with Min Ho. He was a total jerk in the beginning and he remains a total jerk.
Why does everyone hate Minho? Just because he liked bo young? Please do not call him a jerk anymore...
Because he was a total jerk to her in the first couple of episodes. He is only being nice to her now that he started falling for her. But if he didn't like her, he would still be treating her as a piece of sh*t.
The series completely took away the essense of the novel. What a disappointment! And I was looking forward to it for so long. I know there is nothing that can be done by the producers because of the Chinese law. But... I just can't help this feeling. It was same feeling I had knowing there will never be a Season 2 of Addicted :'(
I am so surprised with all the comments. I remember really enjoying this series when I watched it 5 to 6 years ago but I had to drop the remake because it was so boring for me.

Hopefully this one will be better.
One of the most underrated drama ever!
Yup, will definitely watch!
Jang Hyuk is the cutest gangster ever. Too bad he is not the main guy (atleast I don't think so).
Just kidding.. So glad to see Johnny on screen.
I just saw the trailer and I am glad I am not the only frustrated one.
Maybe.. it's just me :/
