I totally agree with you..I watched the series until the end because of Ji Chang-wook..I never understood why his girlfriend (Pyo Ye Jin) broke up with him in prison, with such a fake, meaningless scene, without a trace of emotional charge since they were in love (as if the director wanted him to go and rest) and while she was desperately trying to help him with his brother and his friends. Ji Chang-wook's scenes with Pyo Ye Jin as a couple were very good, lively, and their chemistry was great...I'm sorry about that!!.
In just one episode, they disappeared his girlfriend, his friends, and his brother, while they could have been his allies in his fight for justice..Instead, they suddenly put an elderly inmate with his missing daughter next to him....The ending was ridiculous because the friends he didn't want to see in prison in 6 months forgot everything, and were sitting at a table with his new girlfriend as if nothing happened...I never understood the existence of his friends since they were nowhere to be found throughout the series..
The rating I gave was low, for the tragic script that touches on Americanism, a tangle without substance, it reminds me so much of a B' American action movie that you doubt if it's a drama (How realistic is it when someone has been stabbed many times, doesn't die, and in the next scene walks around without anything happening..)
It has nothing to do with the movie (Fabricated City).. The direction is very bad, the plot has gaps, one way to endure watching it is if you get carried away by Ji Chang-wook and think that such a good actor can't act in such a meaningless, disappointing and boring series..

I completely agree with you, the tender and sensitive age of 14 is not the appropriate judge of characters..And yes, you are right when you write that all men are not like the gentleman Duan Jiaxu..The opposite!! Despite this, even though Sang Zhi was young, she never showed any sign that she was in love with her brother's friend. She wrote them in a diary and in a container with small wishes...
