Tragic...
The fact that some people consider it normal for two persons who grew up as brothers to become lovers at some point in their lives, (In this series, in the ridiculous mind of the screenwriter, it is perfectly reasonable for a young woman to have sex with someone, when until a few days ago she saw him as a brother..I was creeped out by their love scenes..) as if there were no other people on the planet to choose as a life partner, makes it tragic and disgusting to me, and also sends the wrong messages to young people. Basically, this series has nothing positive to offer viewers, only greedy eyes looking through the keyhole to experience, even on tv, something different from normal in order to feel complete...Unfortunately, as humanity, we have a serious orientation problem. Everything has collapsed. I will not comment on the acting of the cast because since the story is so bad and the screenwriter needs to be examined by a psychologist for the misery of his brain, there is no point in writing whether I liked the actors or not...
However, I want to point out something that made a negative impression on me. How old is the main FM actress of the series? Her behavior in the role she plays makes you believe that she is still at the childish and immature age of ten years old..Let her try as a professional at least to change her way of speaking and her stupidly childish expressions in acting..It doesn't make her cute but rather boring and fake...Anyway , good luck to the entire cast..I wish better choices in the future, because this series will be forgotten very quickly,..The only sure and positive thing!!!!
As for the chemistry of the couple, it is ZERO!! The director creates an illusion to attract the audience with the creepy and cheap script.
I do not recommend it to anyone, a waste of time and aesthetics !!!!!!

"The second lead couple saved the series "
Having watched Park Hyung-sik in "Dr. Slump" and "Soundtrack #1", I thought I would feel the same excitement in this series. For me, it was a big disappointment. I won't write much, I will just put "Our Blooming Youth" out of my mind as if it never happened...The choice of Jeon So-ni as Min Jae-yi to be Park Hyung-sik's partner was a mistake, as there was no chemistry between them...They seemed like friends...Throughout the series, I saw boredom on Park Hyung-sik's face many times... He never really got into the role of Lee Hwan. If it wasn't for the second lead couple who really stole the show, I would have given up on the series...Lee Tae Sun as Kim Myung Jin (coroner, investigator and wronged young son of the prime minister) and Pyo Ye-jin as Myung Jin's student were an oasis of laughter and funny situations..Many times I only watched their scenes...They did a fabulous job..I think 20 episodes was too much, the story could have been completed much earlier..Of course it's just my personal opinion.. Greetings !!Was this review helpful to you?
Wrong messages...
My biggest question is why this dark and sick series has such high ratings..There is not much to write and try to justify my opinion..A psycho woman (Baek Ah Jin) with the excuse of her "abusive past", (Millions of people fall victim to abuse but do not lose their humanity) became the cause of the deliberate manipulation and destruction of people who loved and cared for her..And the worst thing is that in the wreckage she created, she came out unscathed..The worst series I have seen lately with terrible messages..
It's not worth wasting a second of your time watching it..If you like an actor from the cast, you can see him/her in some of his/her other worthwhile work.

"Both Kim Young Dae and Pyo Ye Jin are knocking it out of the park!"
I just finished "Moon in the Day" and my impressions are mixed..The truth is that I started the series because of Pyo Ye-jin and her acting in "Taxi Driver" and she proved to me that I was right...."Moon in the Day" has many moments where you won't be able to take your eyes off the screen..The narrative and romance are so meaningful, mesmerizing, deep and yet heartbreaking..The characters are extremely complex, specially in their past life, and due to their tragic fate, they are left wounded but irreversibly tied forever in a twisted love story..The story follows Do-ha (Kim Young-dae), a nobleman from the Silla era, who killed the family of Han Ri-ta (Pyo Ye-jin), she swore revenge, they fell in love passionately, but she killed him keeping her oath and sealed his fate. Centuries later, they meet again in another life, bound by a connection that transcends time..The drama is visually stunning, with impeccable historical settings and costumes. For me, the historical arc was the true highlight: intense, passionate, and tragic, with powerful performances and undeniable chemistry. A memorable drama, with a past storyline so strong it could have carried the entire series on its own..The present-day storyline, while adding some layers, never reached the same level of strength and magic as the past...Flashbacks from the past so we can understand what happened to them in their past lives. The interpretations especially by the lead couple, were truly amazing..The intensity of these characters is off the charts! I watch a lot of kdramas, but I don't typically expect such intense emotions...The couple seemed to be talking with their eyes in all the scenes they had together.
Ξ€op-notch acting, but the plot is fresh as well. Reincarnated, devoted, but star-crossed enemies to lovers is kind of a new take on the typical kdrama enemies to lovers trope..The music was very emotional, dramatic and gave more intensity in the actors acting. The problem arises because there are too many scenes, characters, and conversations that are just completely unnecessary..If only this drama had been filmed by another director, it would have been completely different, it would actually have had the potential to become a masterpiece...The kiss scene seemed weak and unreal.. Kim Young-dae as Do-ha, there are simply no words..Talented, sexy, charismatic, handsome..A complete actor... Pyo Ye-jin is one of the finer actresses in her time. In this show, she slowly evolves from a tough firefighter to a beautiful loving soul, I love how she can look so plain and yet emit such natural beauty..I like for the ease in her acting, her simplicity, her sweet smile and the sweetness in her eyes..She was play a very difficult role with superb success..Her acting in a dual role was one of the strong points of the series. She gave emotion without excessive melodrama. The weak points of the series, should have brought the couple closer earlier, so that they could experience moments of love in the present...I'm sorry that the Korean audience didn't appreciate this diamond..I highly recommend !!!

Disappointment..
Ok, when you see Ji Chang-wook as the main male lead in the cast, I personally thought it was a guarantee. But what can he do alone, a tragic script that touches on Americanism, a tangle without substance, it reminds so much of an American B-action movie that you doubt if it's a kdrama...The direction escaped us, the plot has gaps, one way to endure watching it is if you get carried away by Ji Chang-wook and think he can't act in such a meaningless and boring series.
You will be easily disappointed.

"The Golden Spoon" is the definition of the battle of good against evil...
It is the story of a young man Lee Seung Chun ( Yook Sung Jae )who, in pursuit of quick wealth and promotion to positions of power, used every illegitimate means, without moral qualms or remorse with greed, jealousy, selfishness, adventurism, immorality, renounced his poor family to steal someone else's life... Of course, in order not to feel "guilty", he gave them gifts, gave them half the money for the rent in the semi-basement with the miserable conditions they lived in, and continued in luxury... He is the cause of his real father's death.. Until the end, he did not want to regain his old identity..On the contrary, the young man Hwang Tae Yong (Lee Jong Won ) who was deceived and lost everything managed to teach morality, dignity, kindness, nobility, sacrifice, empathy, solidarity, mental resilience.. He loved a family that was not his own, that offered him nothing in materialism but gave him the love he lacked, and he didn't betray her until the end... Even when he learned the whole truth...He was proud of someone else's father, followed in his footsteps, became famous on his own merit, and offered all his love, his life, the money he earned from his work, to the family whose real child abandoned them because he wasashamed..Amidst the destruction caused by the immoral son and his greed, fate took pity on the poor family and gifted them with a child who, although not of their blood, adored them ( We saw at the end that he had bought them an apartment and they were living with dignity.... ) For the lead female actress Na Joo Hee (Jung Chae Yeon), all she had was a bottomless stupidity, she chased a man who left her without a second thought for 10 years to get rich and her stupidity lasted until the end..No one deserves to deal with her anymore..The injustice is that this greedy scoundrel managed to become rich again through the death of a gardener. And of course, under a different name, he met the stupid woman of the story. The second lead female actress got what she deserved..The performances are amazing from everyone, especially the villain of the story Hwang Hyun Do (Choi Won Young).. That's the only reason for my high rating.

Toxic relationship....
She wasn't a bad mother, she was a very bad mother, cruel and manipulative. And, no, the end does not justify the means. She deprived her child of the most precious thing a person has...his childhood and everything that it entails...The company, the friends, the outings, the games, the carefreeness, the pleasant memories...This woman deprived her son of every human emotion.!!! Deprived him of mother's love,affection...Isolated him from friends and even starved him so that he can only focuse on a carrer she chose for him since he was a baby...Growing up, she expected him to be a warm, loving person, which is NOT what she grew up to be !!! Even in the second "chance" that she was given, she made the same mistakes..After the accident, the bad mother shows over and over again that she can be even worse. Are we supposed to think that the means are justified just because she wants hik to recover faster?? She kept repeating her old mistakes and making new ones even worse... If in the past she was very strict and authoritarian with her son's education (and life in general), in the present her methods for his rehabilitation after the accident are very harsh and authoritarian (taking away his food when he can't control his hands, throwing him into the lake when he can't stand). As series about an abusive parent, it lacks a bit of self-awareness..Also, the bad message the series gives about the "treatment" of quadriplegic people...So, she is dying and that makes her good? The main message of the show now reads as "mother is always right" no matter how psychotic or abusive. It would have been more believable, if the son hated his mother more, and would come to realise that along the hate there was also love, only AFTER he found out that she was dying. Better yet after her death. (Death and end of things are good drives for introspection).
In my eyes, mother was too glorified and judged too little for her terrible actions towards her son, because as much as we would like to believe that it's always "the thought that counts" it is actually "our actions that show who we really are"
Her son, a worthy disciple of his psycho mother, in order to achieve his goals, took advantage of the love of his childhood friend (his first love) since she worked and he studied to become a prosecutor, they lived together in the same house, and in the end he abandoned her with the excuse of revenge, after giving her money (how insulting) to clean up and move on. π He destroyed her life in an instant, without remorse, without second thoughts to become the lover of his enemy's daughter, to live with her for years, to sleep, eat, laugh and spend his daily life with her, and he would have married her if the "accident" had not happened..
The victims of the story are his ex-girlfriend who became pregnant with 2 children and for 8 years wandered around and lied about her condition. Her mother who was forced to raise her daughter's grandchildren alone and of course the children whose life for their father was a LIE!! The fact that she forgave him so easily and accepted him back into her life, accepting his ex-fiancΓ©e who betrayed her with her π, and talking calmly, besides clearly showing that a weak woman cannot be a good mother, makes the script unrealistic..The last episode was nonsense, they didn't show the children's reaction (a significant omission) after the revelation about their real father, their feelings, and the management of their psychology, they didn't show romantic scenes between a "couple in love", we didn't see a wedding as it should have been...Again, mother and son in the same depressing environment, talking about the same things on a bench, and a pig π· being chased by the future groom and bride...
Excellent performances from all the actors who gave high marks to such a bad script !!!!
Ra Mi Ran as Jin Young Soon π
Lee Do Hyun as Choi Kang Ho π
Ahn Eun Jin as Lee Mi Joo π
Yoo In Soo as Bang Sam Sik π
Jung Woong In as Oh Tae Soo π
Choi Moo Sung as Song Woo Byeok π
Hong Bi Ra as Oh Ha Young [Oh Tae Soo's daughter]
and of course the two kids who played impressively..
Gi So Yoo as Lee Ye Jin [Mi Ju's daughter] ππ
Park Da On as Lee Seo Jin [Lee Mi Joo's son] ππ
