Twinkling Watermelon follows 18-year-old Han Eun Gyeol, who time-travels from 2023 back to 1995 and meets his father, who is a high schooler at that time. He then decides to form a band with his father to change their future fate.

It's a light-hearted, funny, and heartwarming drama. Every character is lovable. All of the actors did an excellent job. The cast chemistry is insane, their bickering is really fun to watch, and their friendship feels so adorable. The couples are cute too. Even though the story hints at a love-triangle trope, it was executed well, so there are no hard feelings toward either male lead.

The script is solid. They manage to keep things fun throughout the entire series without unnecessary problems or overdramatic storylines. The early episodes felt a bit boring to me, but once the 1995 timeline really kicks in, the drama becomes very engaging.

That said, the setting still feels a bit too modern for my taste. Also, the time-travel trope has some things that aren't fully explained by the end.

Overall, it's still a very enjoyable watch for me. My heart felt warm after finishing it.
