Title Psychopath Diary Spoiler
He's almost killed 3 people and only one of them was a fail due to his conscience. The next ep airs in 9 hours…
Uhm, after the 4th episode I don't think they are going to let things go to the point that Dong Shik will commit anything completely unredeemable, but it might be somewhat interesting if they would indeed go that way and there definitely is enough time left in the drama to take that route...
In any case, I agree that I can't wait to watch the 5th episode later on today! :D
On My Long Awaited Love Story Dec 3, 2019
This was a really sweet feel-good romcom!
Also, since the backdrop is the Xmas season it's perfect for this time of the year!
The story is simple and predictable, but it's well acted. In conclusion, it's the sort of movie I wouldn't mind rewatching every once in a while if I feel starved for some cute romance :P

I loved this drama since the very beginning, but I'm not going to lie...the first episode does feel like it lasts…
Hopefully the second episode will feel more engaging to you, but in any case I'm glad you'll give it a second chance anyway :)

I really want to watch this but 80 minutes per episode is too much for a dramedy.
I loved this drama since the very beginning, but I'm not going to lie...the first episode does feel like it lasts its whole 1hour and 20 minutes run, no other way around that. I think it's because of the whole set-up...From the second onwards, though, the episodes started flying by and I can barely feel their lenght.

These four episodes kept getting better and better! The whole cast has undeniable chemistry. Yoon Shi Yoon is killing…
There are two points I simply HAVE to mention, because I'm loving them!

1) I adore the way the drama visualizes Dong Shik channeling his inner psychopath persona by showing us a videotape of a famous thriller/horror movie getting played. I'm finding it very creative and visually interesting!

2) While it's pretty obvious, I'm also loving the duality that's been created between In Woo and Dong Shik . The first kills the weak and helpless out of a sense of disgust and superiority. The second, even when thinking he's a psychopath serial killer, aims to bring down the 'strong' who take advantage of their wealth and social position to hurt/humiliate those they perceive beneath themselves. To me he's behaving more like an outlaw vigilante than a serial killer :P

The whole cast has undeniable chemistry.
Yoon Shi Yoon is killing it in this double role of puppy and wolf. I honestly can't think of any other actor who could portray Dong Shik in such a adorable-yet-scary and moving-yet-funny way. On the other side, Park Sung Hoon is showing so much charisma that I'm half-wishing I could forgive this merciless serial killer.
I'm also liking Jung In Sun, but up till now I think her character, while quirky enough to be interesting, was a bit sidelined.

I haven't started this yet, but can anyone tell me if this will be a romance at all?
It's still too early to say for sure, but if you're looking for a pure romance, I wouldn't expect it from this drama.
From the first two episodes there was no romance interaction, but some good friendly chemistry. I think (and honestly hope) this will at most have just some romance vibes without putting it at the center stage...but we'll see!

Should I watch this? Is it good so far?
The first two episodes exceeded my expectations which were already quite high, so I think it really deserves a watch!
Of course things may still go downhill, but I think that even in the worst possible scenario the show will prove to be a fun ride.

OMG the ending of episode two has been making me laugh out loud for the last 10mins!!!

The whole episode was great, but the parallel of the scene with Dong Shik writing in the diary with the classic scene of Light writing in the Death Note totally made my day! I'm not entirely sure how much of it was actually wanted, but it does look too similar to be a coincidence!

The first episode was a blast! Even better than I was anticipating.
It's the sort of dark comedy which I love...you know you shouldn't snicker...but you do anyway!
Now the real problem is: should I watch it while it airs or wait till it's complete and then binge watch it?! :3

No problem :)
Btw I'm on episode 18 and everything I mentioned still stands.
Happy watching!

Basically it's apparent that the second ML felt romantic attraction towards the FL the first time he saw her. She didn't appear to feel the same way and since they are on the opposite sides of the company politics game, up till now the plot point seems to be lost. But it'll may come into play later since things are going to change...

Up till now there is no love triangles/conflicts and I can't see any forming. The FL is getting closer to the first ML, but it's in a friendly camaderie way with no romance inolved. The second FL seems to have developed a sort of 'hero crush' towards the first ML, but it's admiration and doesn't seem to have romantic tones either.
There seems to be only a real couple in the making, but that's between two supporting characters and doesn't involve any dramatics...it just seems cute and fluffy.

The selling point of this drama is the bromance (coming into play in the second part of the show). The two MLs won a KBS Best Couple Award for their performances as Chief Kim and Director Seo.

Asking for spoilers: Is there romance? Multiple couples? Love triangle? Happy ending?
I'm just at episode 12 so I can't say for the ending, but I bet it'll be good ending considering the type of drama.
There's no romance tag in the genres and that's for good reason since romance is definitely not the focus here. There is some attraction and chemistry going around, but it doesn't really seem like it'll go anywhere. I can go more into details if you'd like, but if you want a pure romance right now it would be better to go with another show.

And after months I'm finally moving this drama from my On Hold to the Dropped list.
I recognize why this show has such a huge fan base, but the four episodes I watched felt very flat to me. The most powerful emotions I managed to summon was annoyance and very faint amusement at how cheesy some scenes were. It felt like I was checking a list of basic ingredients for a successful teenage romance story: cold, tough and powerful hero with a mysterious aura, check; heroine with tragic past who is (somehow) oh-so-special, check; hero saves heroine and hides his identity while being by her side, check; forgotten childhood relationship, check...Sometimes this mix can work for me as well, but in here it felt cold and cynical as if these elements were put together deliberately and without much heart.
I have to admit, though, that the show has a solid production, the action scenes do look good (even if they are a bit too 'clean'), the OST sounds nice and the cast does seem to be doing a decent job with the material they have.

In my opinion this is a series that any k-drama fan should at least TRY to watch. It wasn't my cup of tea, but I can't deny the appeal it has for a lot of people.

I had this show in my PTW list for months...Why, why, why did I not start this sooner?! I'm barely 6 episodes in and I'm having the time of my life!
Nam Goong Min was already one of my favourite Korean actors and Lee Jun Ho is surprisingly good in this role even if I wouldn't have thought it would suit him.
Both of them have enough charm to carry the drama by themselves, but they don't have to! The two female leads and the supporting cast are wonderful as well and the story is quite interesting even if it involves the usual topic of corruption and company politics.

Entertaining, but with some writing flaws.

This show's charm is dependant mostly on its characters. The whole cast did a splendid job and I've rarely become so attached to even the smaller supporting roles. Special props to Jung Woong In who's a great actor and in here pulls off another amazing villain performance.

The plot flows decently well and it's never boring. The twists and turns of who's conning whom are fun to watch, but they are at times a bit ridiculous. It has to be said that, while the comedy side of the show has decent beats, I found the sadder moments somewhat lacking both in depth and consistency.
The biggest fault of the writing is the fact that 2/3 into the show we do have to accept previously estabilished smart characters making downright idiotic choices (yep, episode 24, I'm talking about you)...it almost made me drop the show. The ending, though, is so satisfying that by then I came to forgive that faux pas!

I find myself in agreement with the current score of 7.9 as this drama doesn't really deserve a 8, but due to its entertaining value alone it does rank higher than 7.5.
On I Hear Your Voice Nov 14, 2019
I watched this drama for the first time about one year ago when I had just started watching korean dramas and I fell in love with it. Since then I watched a tons of other dramas, but a rewatch confirmed this is still one of my top 5!
I don't even think it's a guilty pleasure...I honestly believe this show is good enough to deserve a 10. I love the characters, their chemistry and the antagonist is actually threatening for most of the show. The writing delivers both comedic and heartwrenching scenes and the plot never felt boring. The directing, editing and cinematography was very well done and the OST was definitely on point.
The biggest fault in my opinion is that the ending of the bigger conflict was a bit anticlimatic, but I overall I found the show so enjoyable that I can definitely forgive that.

Now, the real problem is that...well, I can't see Lee Jong Suk in any other role. I tried watching a couple of other dramas where he's in a main lead position, but I keep seeing Park Soo Ha instead of the whatever new character he's playing :(
On Psychopath Diary Nov 14, 2019
I might be the only one here who's not disappointed for the comedy take on the plot...I'm actually glad for it since I definitely need some comedy ridiculousness to be able to bear amnesia part. :P
I'm looking forward to this drama and I hope it's a fun ride!

I’m the opposite. Although I don’t like Jung either, the second male lead is such a pain in the butt. He keeps…
Agreed there! In Ho approaching Seoul was done out of pettiness realizing that his closeness to the girl was upsetting Jung. He was esentially using her to get a sort of small revenge himself. Which is why I didn't really want him to win her over.
And yes, being confrontational can often lead to fights which aren't a good result either. I'm honesly more of a passive person; if I find that someone is using me and talking badly about me behind my back, I just 'blacklist' the person in my mind avoiding any possible interaction and providing the mere minimum help if they should request it.

While this drama wasn't perfect by any means, I really found it interesting because I couldn't find a single character I really wholeheartedly liked (Eun Taek maybe might have been the exception, but we really saw him just superficially).
Seoul herself had several moments were I couldn't like her at all. I particularly hated her right at the very end, when during the epilogue she says she isn't interested in people anymore while detachedly classifying anyone around her in stereotypes...I actually sensed a warped sense of superiority which both worried and disgusted me a little bit :P
