Watched in 2009 for the first time and fell in love with the well developed characters. Rewatching in 2025, and I'm even more in love than before with this story now that I'm an adult. It's a journey from young adulthood to proper adulthood, told in a love story shape.
Never empathyzed more with an introvert character than with the hermetic, insecure and lovable Kanzaki Hiroto.
First things first: The machine subtitles are horrendous and confusing. I look forward to watching this again…
Oh, the subtitles... I'm not paying a lot of attention to them because they take me out of context a lot. Hope we get decent subs soon so we can understand what's going on in detail.
I haven't finished it yet, but despite the low, low budget, this movie has artistic value. Love the silences and the way the script builds the mood slowly. Characters are also convincing. It's a simple erotic story, but so far I like how this story is told. The sex scenes are raw, and I appreciate the naturality of the bodies.
Did anyone else notice the abrupt change in Great's demeanor when his father told him to leave after confronting…
From my point of view, this has nothing to do with the character's inner feelings. It gives us a weird feeling because the script and the editing for this episode are just unnatural and not organic at all.
The technical execution of episode 6 is a mess. I personally feel they failed to portray the original timeline events, which feel unrealistic and forced as hell.
I am sorry to burst ur bubble , and i do understand that this show is indeed good and intresting but not the best…
All is relative, and there's no a best of the best show subjectively speaking, true. Depends on tastes and perceptions. Technically, camerawise speaking, 4Minutes is probably the best filmed BL ever, though. The production, direction and editing team made the best work I've ever seen in a BL. Sequence continuity and angles are always on point in this series, something you don't get to see often in many BL's. Also, close up shots are done very carefully here, to give the feeling of being watching a movie, not a tv series. They created a solid fictional atmosphere with the colours, lights and shadows, and the tempo of the scenes. There's a film mood in this series that elevates it, technically speaking. Hope we'll be seeing more projects as well filmed as this, and even better, soon.
In the last few min of the episode 1, Great saw that he is kissing or having s*x with Tyme, is that his imagination…
I think the explanation for that scene is in the answer the last patient gives to dr. Den in the last scene, about how she could see the past repeatedly in her head when her heart stopped due to her myocarditis, as well as she could see 4 minutes in the future. So, I guess Great is recalling instead of seeing into the future. I could be wrong, of course. Let's see what the next episodes unveil for us!
Can I just say, I love that on every rewatch I notice something new. With that being said BOC please release the…
Yup, there's many, many details in each scene, in each performance, so every time we rewatch it we spot new things, and that's so awesome!! Please and thank u, BOC. We need more!!
Amazed by that short, short scene in ep. 5 where Porsche's trauma is shown metaphorically. With fire he wanted to erase Kinn's touch, purifying his lips. To no avail, because in the end, he saw Kinn in that same fire and needed him to burn his lips again, leaving a mark. He wants to erase the mark, but he also wants to be marked again, so he feels so frustrated he just need to scream from the bottom of his insides. Damn. This is Poetry. This is Cinema.
Rewatching and noticing how kinn may be porsche's actual first love. I think he just had a crush on him before…
Oooooh, talking about Porsche's feelings for Kinn at the beginning, I also think Kinn was his first love, because Kinn protected him in ep. 2, and I think Porsche had never felt protected before, so Kinn's gesture, Kinn's risk to saving his life, moved him deeply. Porsche always was the big Brother, the protector, the one in danger for Chay's sake. But suddenly he felt saved by someone else, and not whoever, but the man he had a conflict with. The man that seemed to despise him, as Porsche despised Kinn. So, yep, I also think Porsche fell for Kinn after that shock in ep. 2; and he fell totally in ep. 6.
It's indeed a dream cast π. I love Vegas, but Kinn is my irrepleaceable number 1. At first, Kinn was meh for…
The power of Kinn and Vegas is no joke, right? π. Yup yup, the narrative and script have indeed a few flaws, but it's admirable that they totally broke the BL narrative normative, giving the plot deeper complexity and focusing a lot on Acting and Cinematography. KinnPorsche really makes the difference in this genre, in my opinion π. It's currently my favourite series, and I can watch it over and over enjoying every single scene, but I hope in season 2 they fix the few technical weak points season 1 has. I feel they'll give us a better script in season 2, as the story will be more enigmatic and thrilling π.
Yes the story is kinda crazy but oh lord that cast ππ, kinn i love you, but vegas just came out of nowhere…
It's indeed a dream cast π. I love Vegas, but Kinn is my irrepleaceable number 1. At first, Kinn was meh for me, but from ep. 3 onwards, he earned my heart βΊοΈ. About the story, I think the genuine core is about to come. Not sure, because season 2 is not granted yet, but I feel they intend to build a complex plot about family/friendship/lovers loyalty. Let's see where Khun Korn and his chess take us π³.
