I think the same. I respect BOC a lot for being always faithful to their own ideas and to deliver the stories they want to convey without listening to the silly requests of the fans that demands empty fanservice. That's why they make the difference in the Thai BL industry. In fact, they even left the BL genre behind with this mature series, as they didn't follow any BL cliche.

I guess they are frustrated because they expected lots of nc scenes and a silly display of lovey-dovey scenes and they got a complex series about adult relationships in a period of changes and struggles. Maybe those toxic fans are really young and they are not ready to understand a mature, well written script. That, or they are genuinely silly grown up people.
Overrated, not a masterpiece as others had commented. People are only pretending to like this because it was produced…
The shaky camera shots are meant to give cinéma vérité vibes. They are part of the visual language and a cinematic technique. Filmmakers use this technique to make scenes with high tension, like those about conflicts or fights, to deliver a more relistic feel, like if those scenes were part of a real life documentary. This series is about sociopolitical changes, so that technique fits perfectly with the story the series tell. Speaking of the inadequate lighting, could you tell me what scenes you found bad in that aspect? I find the lighting on point, even in the night scenes.
I hate being that person but I can't help myself: Moira's hidden camera was not possible in 1969. The cameras…
I felt the same, the cctv issue bugged me a lot, too. That's one of the things that made me lower the score to 8,5. They could have chosen the audio recording system only, as it was more discreet than the huge cameras back in the day. The cameras that appear in the show are from the 80s, I believe.
Outstanding series, despite some not perfectly directed scenes. Moving, congruent ending; endearing and realistic characters. My favourite gay series and one of my favourite series of all time. Will rewatch it for sure., 8,5/10
I can’t be the only one who doesn’t care for Victor? He’s just a plot device to break the two CP up. And…
I think his character is essential to move the story forward, as he represents the revolutionary students in turbulents times, the mixed-race youngsters struggling in a closed society and the lost youth due to corrupt political systems. So, he's far to be a mere plot device to complicate the romance. As I see it, every character represents a part of the thai society in the late 60s, and they all are needed to deliver the sociopolitical plot.
I am no where near as eloquent or thoughtful as oddsare with my words. So forgive my inelegant pros, but the brutal…
Beautifully worded, thanks for sharing your opinion 😊. I think the same, in this series the main character is the story and the rest serve to tell that story. That, and using the "show, don't tell technique", is what makes a script solid. It's one of the most solid series I've watched this year.
Hahaha, Sucha was there all the time, I'm dying, hahahaha
Veera's death was brutal... I'm still in shock, too, he was a sweetheart, so loyal and good with everyone... and in the end he was humiliated with a brutal death.
Hahaha, Sucha was there all the time, I'm dying, hahahaha
Same here 🫂, this episode was too painful. Everyone tried to protect their ideals, their beloved, their youngsters... with no avail. May Victor's death resonate abroad and bring the change Victor longed for all his life in the final episode.
Powerless adults, afraid of change, watching their country's youth die at the hands of the government they trusted to protect them from social instability. This truly hurts.
Holy shit...I can't get myself together after this. Especially the Veera scene made me physically sick, i cannot…
Same here, this series is painfully realistic. It's really hard seeing the costs of a revolution, knowing revolution is essential to change and knowing the World needs to keep changing. The whole cast give a fantastic delivery of all the complex feelings expienced through a turbulent era like the one postrayed in the series.

I respect your feelings, but Trin and Tanwa did nothing to be hated on. One tried to prevent his students from dying from ep, 1, but unfortunately all revolutions imply deaths, The other just tried to protect his most beloved person at all cost, but couldn't lie to him all the way so he could keep him safe, because he truly loves him. They are simply people trying to survive in a turbulent era. The ones to blame are those who give the order of kill the protesters, not the people trying to protect the people they love. That's only my humble opinion, of course.
Oh, no, Victor... Damn Pracha and damn government, always twisting the truth and bringing terror on purpose to make people think they are the heroes saving the people and that oppresion is the legit way to do it... So sadly real, the story told in this series.

He looks quite tired, though.
