Everytime I hear yisoo or mingyu talk about the show I get so mad. They really didn’t deserve that treatment,…
PDs chose to sacrifice the mental health of someone to bolster their favourite contestant. It's disgusting to see.
With all the backlash against them and all the Heart Signal cast talking about the tough time they had because of the editing (Jimin also spoke about this recently), I hope we don't get another season with the same PD team.
On the other hand, going through such a tough experience together seems to have made Mingyu and Yisoo's relationship really strong, so that's a silver lining. I'm also really happy that the cast are so close.
I think they try to explain the Grade Fs not fighting back as that if they did hit back and left a mark they would…
You have no idea how cruel girls can be with bullying. Most of the actual bullying is based on real life events.
There was a true story in Korea where girls in middle school beat up their victim bloody with a steel bat and the head bully said "I love the smell of blood, hit her more". The incident was caught on CCTV and was top news in Korea. Several people came out and said they got beaten up the same way.
Honestly the real villains are the Baek group... they adopted a child just to manipulate her and raise her with…
In the webtoon, Harin and Jaeun come to a truce. Harin disappears of her own accord and her and Jaeun are still in touch as adults.
Also they were inseparable sisters in the webtoon who shared tons of happy memories together. So, they have a deeper childhood connection than they did in drama.
I'm confused, what happen to Baek Ha Rin in the end? I know she was abandoned by her adopted family, but was she…
Once Jaeun rescues Harin from the fire, the fire department probably admitted her to a hospital to treat her injuries. She overdosed on drugs so she was unconscious for a while.
She's an unclaimed, unidentifiable person at that point, hence the name 'Jane Doe' on hospital records.
Yeah agreed. Also in the webtoon, Soeun/Harin expects Jaeun to be sorry for everything that she did to her, but Jaeun is happy because Harin got adopted into a good family like she expected.
Also Harin's grandmother was a non character in the webtoon. She was sickly and bedridden and thought Harin was her biological grandchild till the end. Her parents were waiting for the grandmother to die to cut Harin off, which they could do even more easily once stories of her school violence came out.
Harin and Jaeun/Sooji come to some sort of truce at the end, and she apologizes to Jaeun as well. The fire happens at the annex school and Harin's intention was only to kill herself. Jaeun and Sooji save her and she disappears. They both are worried, but know that Harin can take care of herself anywhere.
So Harin (birth name Soeun) and Jaeun grow up as sisters in the webtoon. Jaeun's mom adopts Soeun after her parents, neighbors of Jaeun's mom, pass away.
Soeun and Jaeun are inseparable as sisters. Jaeun is really kind and 'stupid' so Soeun, who was always clever, takes care of her. In return Jaeun takes care of her in other ways since she's always been physically stronger.
Even though the three of them are poor, they lead a pretty happy life until Jaeun's mom remarries. Their stepdad is a terrible person, who tries convincing their mom that they should send one of the kids to the orphanage to lessen financial burden. He doesn't like Jaeun at first glance since she's 'moody' and 'dirty' so he asks their mom to send her. Soeun finds out about the plan and tells Jaeun that the only way they won't be separated is to poison their stepfather and kill him. Jaeun agrees with the plan, and Soeun goes as far as adding the poison to his water.
Then, Jaeun being Jaeun, has a righteous change of heart and tells her mom about Soeun's plan. Their stepfather is furious to find out about it and they send Soeun away to the orphanage instead.
Soeun has a terrible time at the orphanage where she is bullied and abused by both the other kids and the handlers. The orphanage has a grading system where grades are assigned based on 'good' and 'bad' behavior. Grade As are treated well while Grade Fs are harassed and bullied. Soeun rebelled against the handlers' imhumane behaviors, so she always gets an F grade, leading to intense bullying day-in and day-out.
Despite everything, Soeun still doesn't blame Jaeun. She understands Jaeun's personality and is worried that she will be very upset and will try blaming herself for Soeun being sent away. She does everything she can to escape the orphanage and go back to Jaeun to comfort her.
One day, she manages to escape and takes the bus to her hometown. While she's on the bus, she sees Jaeun and her mother eating ice cream. Jaeun looks super happy, not sad at being separated from her sister as Soeun imagined. That's when Soeun 'realizes' that all her misfortunes right now are because of Jaeun and that she didn't care about her being sent away at all (which isn't true, Jaeun was okay with Soeun being sent away because she knew Soeun could get adopted into a good family and that she could have a better life than her).
From then on, Soeun makes it her life's mission to get revenge on Jaeun. She changes her attitude to become a kind and sweet girl who regularly gets As in her orphanage. Then, Baek Harin's parents come to the orphanage to adopt a young girl since the real Baek Harin died. Her grandmother is very fond of Baek Harin and told her parents that she would pass on her inheritance to her. Not wanting to lose that money, and taking advantage of the fact that her grandmother has a lot of eye issues, they decide to adopt a girl who looks somewhat like Harin and pass her off as the real one so her grandmother wouldn't realize she died.
They adopt Soeun and then the events follow the drama pretty closely.

The girl in the burning hallway is Harin.
