I think the novel and Dao/Yi's story is very childish so I don't mind the addition of Nuer/Syn. They're the healthiest couple in the show imo.

But the show does make the novel look like high art lol

Also, apart from keeping LukChup out of the loop, I actually think his relationship with Ram has evolved into becoming something healthy? Like how Ram waited for LukChup to explain what was going on with him and LukChin before jumping the gun and getting mad, or him supporting LukChup and being understanding and thanking him for telling him his story. It's in general a well-written romance. If only he was as open with LukChup too

Right? I hope that through these comments, younger viewers (because I honestly think those who unironically enjoy CP and think it's healthy and beautiful are teens) will understand the complexities of a relationship and how things can become toxic even if there are no obvious signs of physical/emotional abuse.

The way people just gloss over Kuea's grooming...

They should've just ended the show here tbh

I don't get the blind hatred for Kuea. Sure, he's annoying and childish, but he was also groomed his entire life to become the perfect husband for a man 7 years older than him. He's more of a victim in this situation than Lian that's for damn sure.

And people saying Kuea was hypocritical for expecting Lian to come clean with him when he couldn't do it himself... sure, because lying about riding bikes and playing music is as bad as not telling your fiance that you've purchased all his family's assets.

But one thing's for sure, every character in this show gives me a headache.

All NuerSyn scenes put together will probably still be under an hour so it's not worth it. I'm only watching this because I have the no-drop syndrome ugh.

Kuea knows Lian came to see him at his gig and was okay with it so this outburst makes no sense. They could've just not had Diao tell him lol. But people getting mad him at humiliating Lian in public aren't it either because Lian shouldn't have proposed to him in public at all. Public proposals are a big no no.

Both Lian and Kuea are annoying af. Lian telling him that he can't run away from him was goosebumps-inducing (and not in a good way) because Lian is fully capable of actually pulling shit like that.

Also, I read the summary for the Yi/Diao novel and yikes.... let's just say I'm glad we have Nong and not that trainwreck.

I'm glad they gave Nuea a backbone instead of making him the stereotypical 'bottom' who just submits to everything. In the novel, his character is closer to Pete from LBC and that would've been tragic in this situation

JoongDunk's chemistry is really elevating this series. Whoever decided to pair these two up did god's work. This show wouldn't have worked with other actors tbh

From what I've read in the novel, Kluen is like this because his dad is also equally unresponsive and they have a cold war of sorts at home.

Their relationship actually improves a lot because his dad completely falls in love with Nuea and starts to treat him like his own son, so Kluen warms up to him after.
