Exceeded my expectations

This series was a rollercoaster! After seeing the trailer I knew that it was a romcom and that a lot of famous gmmtv actors will cameo in the show. I loved the cameos in this series, New, Win, Emi, Force, Junior, Namtan and a lot of actors, I loved them all!

HUMOUR: This series was packed with humor at the right times. And the use of music to amplify the funny scenes, and the com-pletely unhinged dialogues and unexpected shots, everything was perfect. I honestly had less expectations from this series beacuse gmmtv doesn't pay much attention to their straight series, but I was actually taken aback. I am so happy with the execution of the series, I love how the colour red was everywhere in the series representing break up service and white representing destiny, and in the last episode where they create a line, after that the office scenes were so visually pleasing, seeing Jued wear complete white but Nut and Rose wearing red on the Destiny side. It felt so satisfying to see that.

PLOT TWISTS: I absolutely LOVED the plot twists in this series, even though everyone guessed that Tee is Angel, plot twists like who is president of Destiny and Chan and Kesorn are still in love with each other. I felt like Boss and Jued suspecting Nut should have been shown one episode earlier so that the audience would have been left guessing, "Is it actually Tee or is it Nut?" but anyways. I had heard that Oat liked Boss in the webtoon, so what if he likes him here also ? I was so shocked when I saw the preview for the last episode. I would have liked seeing some hints like Oat lovingly staring at Boss or saying something, but i take it, it was completely unexpected! And also so thrilling!

I would like to talk a little about the characters:

BOSS: Though in the starting he was introduced as a jerk and a bad person, I like the character development they had for him till the last episode, it actually looked like he had fallen in love now, unlike his previous relationships. In my opinion, Off's acting was good for most of the story as he has to play an emotionless person who breaks up couples, but I think he lacked emotions where they were needed. Like in romantic scenes with Jued, could be just my opinion but I felt like that.
JUED: I liked her character a lot. She was a cheerful person all through out (Jorin's smile is so pretty btw!) I liked how she kept Boss waiting, it was like karma for him. And considering she was the one who broke up Boss and his gf in the first episode, maybe she was meant to end up there, lol.
TEE: He was a good second lead who kept the female lead confused. But I didn't like that he was introduced in the 7th episode when he is the second male lead?? I like how his character was completely opposite to Boss's character, so Boss actually realised Jued's importance.

This series also taught us lessons that relationships are fragile but making them stronger or leaving them is your choice. I was sad with some break ups and feeling sad but I was happy with some breakups. And I am glad that there were couples who couldn't get broken up, because their relationship was strong but their determination was stronger. And I am happy that Jued ended up working at Destiny, that really suited her character. I am glad Boss and Jued worked out even if they had opposite values. I wouldn't actually rewatch this series considering my long watchlist (lol) but I would definitely like to create a few edit of this drama.

A rainbow of 5 colors

If you're thinking of watching this series then go ahead it's a good series overall if you can bear a few plotholes since they will be covered up by the good acting. The representation of DID is insensitive and a little disappointing ending, but the romance part was nicely done along with the comedy and cinematography.

In detail review with my opinions ~
OST: Good song by Nanon, I have listened to it a lot now even before I watched this series. And now the song has more meaning to me.
ACTING: Impressive acting by Nanon and Mind. Nanon really nicely portrayed Sun, a heartbreaker for hire who is not a hero but actually a villain in many women's lives. I was mind blown by Mind's acting, her ability to portray all five personalities where you can just tell who is who just by looking at their facial expression and body language. Junior also did really great acting here, his role really remained a mystery and then boom - there comes the twist.
CINEMATOGRAPHY: I have to talk about it. I was awe struck by the cinematography of this show. The saturated color palette and the breathtaking views and snapshots of the Bangkok city, made me feel like I was actually with them in that place, it really set the mood for the type of scenes. Not to forget that Sun's character is literally a photographer in this series so yeah that was also really well done.
STORY: Now coming to the story. GMMTV has done it again. They took a really good plot and then ruined it. Like most shows this show also suffered from the degradation of the series as the episodes progressed further. The first half keeps me interested and curious, the second half just makes me question everything, from the plot to the characters. Judging for comedy, this series was pretty good according to my standard. The romantic part was also really well done thanks to NanonMind's amazing acting. But the thriller part - oof. That is where the writers missed. There was just not enough suspense created. It looked like a thriller but it did not feel like a thriller. I have to say the plot twists were done nicely but because the suspense wasn't much they didn't land that well specifically the ending. Why did they start the the whole Kritsana plotline if they were not going to put an end to it?? Why did the villain of this story win?? This just shows that the writers were lazy to write all of that. If they had worked on that the show would have been lot better, it would have not just passed on a message of mental health importance but also of speaking up the truth by journalists and media. Turns out her mom did die for nothing.
Now talking about each character:
1. Sun: A morally grey character who did become a good person at the end. He understood, that what he did was not 'love karma', but scamming and then changed his job and redeemed his past mistakes even though they won't erase his past, but they will make him a better person. I thought that he had claustrophobia the way he reacted in that elevator, but turns out it was something else. Oh and also his nerdy look with those glasses was really cute, I loved his style throughout the series.
2. Sairung: First of all, the representation of DID was very bad. The writers didn't do proper research on the disorder and claimed that it can be fixed by "love"(there is no cure for DID yet). Sairung's five personalities were very well coordinated, I wonder if that can actually happen; they were all very interesting also, they all had a specific purpose to be in Sairung's life, and they were each on their own mission, putting together broken fragments from a mystery long buried. I also wondered throughout the series why Marnmok seemed like a leader for all them, as if she was the main personality, the show even gave her a lot of attention and her role was pretty big in the suicide plotline. But then how did they choose Sairung as the "final" personality ? Yes she has the same name as the girl but she did not hold much importance in the story. And honestly in my opinion, Marnmok and Sun had more chemistry and Sun even fell in love with her at first sight (I'm still baffled how they "chose" a "final" personality).
Dad: Oh I hate the dad. The whole problem started from him. They didn't villainize him enough. And his claim that love can heal his daughter, yeah sure go ahead boomer. He did not think much about the consequences his actions will have, and then even went ahead to fool his daughter using Sun. Worst character in the whole show. And his claim that his wife was having an affair? Haha, he deserved much more karma. He was okay in his place to back out from searching about Kritsana because of his wife and kid but his wife was also correct in her place to search about the truth and do her job as a journalist. They both were correct in their own places.
Phat: Actually, he is the only character in which I can't pick flaws. He was there for an exact reason and it was well executed.
De & Gudji: Great comedic timing by Louis and Parn. They made such a cute couple <3

A passionate romance that tugs at your heartstrings with a happy but lukewarm ending

I thought that this drama was just a romance between an older woman and a younger man, but I was proven wrong. In the first few episodes, we are given insight into the life of Yun Jin ah, 35 year old woman who is tired of dating and relationships, all the moments that she thought were love, weren't actually love. She dates guys approved by her parents but she still isn't happy with the relationships. We also see a glimpse of the life of South Korean women, and honestly now I understand why some women don't want to get married and have babies. After her boyfriend breaks up with her, she again meets her best friend's younger brother who has just returned from the US. But they both start to feel something for each other which is more than just affection.

OST: The whole discography of the drama was in english, which surprised me a little but. Some songs really suited in some situations and really brought out the emotions of the scenes but after some time they became repetitive. I feel like there should have been more songs as at some places the songs just didn't suit the situation, context or emotions felt by the character.
CINEMATOGRAPHY: I saw some people talking about the cinematography of the show and it does stand out me at points, like those still shots of our main leads but at some point it felt a little longer, like they didn't make sense or add anything.
(MINI SPOILERS AHEAD)
STORY: The story in the starting was very satisfying, she breaks up with her ex and then finds out he was cheating on her, she takes her revenge. SJH and YJA start dating but SJH still has to deal with YJI's ex, which is really embarrassing for YJI. When her mom finds out about their relationship the story becomes repetitive, like it has come to a stand still and there is no progress. And even the ending felt underwhelming, there were so many points to be discussed yet there was no explanation given in the end, they were just plot holes in the story. SJH and JYI were in love but they didn't plan their relationship properly, they would take major decisions without consulting the other and didn't communicate their feelings, they hid things from each other. But overall it was a good drama, I wouldn't watch it again but I would definitely watch fan edits.
GOOD POINTS: Now some things I really loved about this drama are:
1. YJI's transformations after getting in a relationship with SJH. The way her personality changes and she starts speaking up against workplace harassment and even realises her mistakes in her previous relationships, i like that she changes for better and starts to prioritize herself. I didn't want her to hurt SJI but I think at some times she was really immature and at some times she was mature.
2. This relationship was YJI's best relationship, she had finally found a guy who actually loved her.
BAD POINTS: Some bad things that I didn't like in the drama:
1. I am sad Gyeong seon didn't get any boyfriend or husband till the end, sad but the reality.
2. SJI behaved like a possessive boyfriend at times and when he told her to run away to US, that was the most immature decision he took. How can he plan of going to another country without asking his partner?? And the way he behaved with his father was also childish, honestly if they didn't bring in his father the story would have progressed just fine.
3. I hate how the mom behaved all through out the series, she was a controlling mom who always wanted to win against her children, even if it meant that they were not going to be happy. She labelled her stubbornness as caring or thinking of their future but honestly, she was the most toxic person. Even after his son said he was going to commit suicide all she could say was that I am doing it for your sake, disappointing to hear that from a parent. During the starting I thought that the father was a better parent than her, but honestly not really, he was also like the mother. Causing trouble and making his wife angry. He even cheated on her but his wife still accepted him.
4. A break up was inevitable in their relationship, as they were not communicating properly. I would have thought that they were not going to get back together but the way they got back together surprised me. There was no improvement in their relationship, it felt like they were again going to make the same mistakes. Since we did not get to see much of their story after they got back together I can't really say anything.
5. I hated how the workplace harassment issue was handled. She was outcasted, and even demoted. And even then neither the senior manager nor the director lost their job or their position. They were still there even when she resigned. Why did the chairman wanted to look into these issues if he was not going to resolve them?? It just tells us that women can only speak up after a man's permission, but that doesn't mean anyone will listen to them.
