Based on the novel, HC proposed twice to BFX but failed. BFX rejected HC b/c he couldn’t promise that BFX will be the only one he would marry. However, our ML only had BFX in his heart and at the last minute backed off of the political marriage with HCR b/c he realized that the one he loves is BFX.

I remember reading somewhere that HFX may suspected that she’s Princess YX but was never confirmed until later on in the novel. Presently speaking after today’s episodes where BFX mentioned about her being in the forbidden imperial room during their challenge. HFX probably is closer to confirming BFX other identity.

IKR! The editing was badly done. Why interject the BFF & brother dinner scene in between the company gathering? That was so annoying. This is only my POV, the kissing scene after the ML confessed and the closet kiss was not nearly as exciting when played out than when we were given tidbits of them.

I’m not particularly annoyed by the brother but not a fan of older woman younger man storyline. Nevertheless 8 years his senior. Different stokes for different folks. But then again, age is only a number! However, I am somewhat disappointed with the 4 episodes released this week which more than half of the screen time is occupied by “others” . My only interest is the the OTP, everything else is pure unnecessary filler.

I’m in the US, the release schedule for the 1st week was midnight Tues to Thurs. Starting on the 2nd week is Wed to Fri. for MangoTV and Tencent at 7:00am but iQIYI is on Mon to Wed at 7:00am? So not sure what’s going on? I’ll update if it shows up on Monday for iQIYI.
