If you like youth drama, checkout “My Huckleberry Friend” which she starred in with Steven Zhang. It was the very 1st drama I’ve watched of her and was amazed by the OTP chemistry.

She was willing to surrender her family’s business to the emperor to counteract MZ threats. However, the emperor had bigger plan for MC and so she was threatened by the emperor to make a clean break with MC if she wants her dad to live peacefully. Thus, lead her to marry MZ in the 2nd life in order to keep her father and half brother safe. The drama seem incomplete is because there should of been a 3rd life. Honestly speaking, I wouldn’t mind if there is a part 2. However the likelihood of a 2nd installment is slim but we can always hope ☺️. This series came as a surprise when it started airing. I gave it a try b/c of Xing Fei but ended up liking all the 3 leads. Despite the majority stating Jing Chao overshadowed the the OTP, I beg to differ. All the leads played what they were given but the one I’m most interested was the OTP storyline.
We don't even know if there will be a happy ending,i know Lu Anran went thru so much in her past life ,so she…
I’m going to hope for a HE based on the online speculations but if this turns out as a bad ending, not shocking. As an avid viewer from the get go, the FL should at least get her happiness after so much hardships. After today’s episodes, MC better get down to business and beat his brother to the throne.
Are the English subtitles better on WeTV or Netflix?
I’m from the US, the subtitles are slightly different here and there between Netflix and WeTV but wouldn’t say it was substantial. However the quality as far as clarity, Netflix is better and streaming is effortless without lag.
Imo, the final fight against YWY was unsatisfying cuz dude didn't get the bitch slaps he deserved 😤 🖐Also,…
Despite all the drama that were going on behind door and the allegations after the premier, I was afraid that they were going to pull the drama offline. Glad that it finished airing and we got a half a** HE. My only complaint was that they didn’t have to kill Han Pu 😭. Far from perfect but this will definitely be on my binge watchlist. The acting was delivered but the plot was meh 😑. Not going to lie, the OTP was what got me here initially. I very much enjoyed the slow burning romance minus the boring politics.
Can someone tell me what happened to Feng Qi Wu and Feng Chang(did he make up with Lan Xi).
FQW remains loyal to the power couple until the end and FC can be said to have made up with FLX when he told Zhong Li that he was awaiting for FLX to play chess with him. Plus FC was present during the royal wedding smiling from ear to ear for his brother happiness.
3 slaps heard around the world (and it took 7 rewatches to see that FLX slapped the headpiece off junior evil's…
Did not like how they handled Lang Hua from stabbing BFX to her half a** insincere apology to BFX. I cringed 😬 at the apology part. Most satisfying was when FJ called the king out on his selfishness for power and FLX slapping FJ for his stupidity.
Episode 32 recap:-Was Master Bai not suspicious of YWY? He basically told him all his thoughts, etc. I feel like…
Looking forward to Minister Feng fighting alongside her bestie BFX. Can’t wait to see the shock on FLX’s father face when he realized the 2 people that he been harboring are the ones behind the rebellion. Going to be epic!
In the end, this might what the producer meant last time by “might not satisfy audiences due to lack of footage”
Definitely the latest 2 episodes released were very choppy transition/editing. They must have eliminated a lot of scenes in order to meet the new guideline’s limitation of 40 episodes. Honestly they should of omitted some of FLX’s family issues instead of dragging it out. Despite the choppy editing, I did enjoy today’s episodes. For examples: the long awaited love confession (very heart felt), the first prince reappearance (signs of him wanting to continue his brotherly love towards FLX), a glimpse of BFX’s family dynamics which are polar opposite’s to most of the other kingdoms, FLX’s panicking when BFX was stabbed and him holding on to her.
