Title Spring of the Blade
i feel like the female lead is too much of a damsel in distress, he is always there to save her, no? just me?

Title Spring of the Blade
unpopular opinion but I think the only thing that's keeping this drama interesting is the chemistry between the leads and the atmosphere. It started very strong, but we're already halfway through it And the revenge is not giving anything nor is it satisfying, I hope it will get better because it has a potential.

Yes, if I remember correctly his suname was indeed Han.. I am not sure who choose him for her. But I think she was pretty much satisfied with him, believing that if she married him she will be able to live the rest of her life in peace and that's only thing she ever wanted. Once the male lead learned about the fact that she was going to get married, he ruined it. And forced her to marry him. I don't know how this is going to play out in the drama, but at least in the novel he took her by Force. I am not sure if she loved the scholar but she was pretty much satisfied with him.

He was more of your typical noble man from that era with multiple women by his side. He was also much more cruel, dark and scheming, always trying to get whatever he wants. I did not read the novel,I just read some spoilers from others who did. but typically, she suffered for quite a while by his side, until he changed for the better and become a better person for her. but I guess based on what we have seen so far in the drama They kind of changed his personality. So I don't think she will suffer much, probably. They would not delete the key moments In their relationship i think, but he is not as bad as the novel one was. he is a much better person in the drama, but let's watch and see.

Based on what I have seen, she will free herself from being a slave, and then she will want to marry a scholar and live his life with him, but the male lead will realize that he's actually in love with her, And he will force her to marry him, but that's the novel version they could change it in the drama, because they already changed the male lead's personality a lot from the novel, Who knows.
