Boon-ok may have a tough backstory but the way you wrote this thinkpiece dismissing Young-ro's tragedies, painting her as some kind of simple-minded girl while glorifying Boon-ok out you as a person who justifies and praises crooked and debauched ways just because life hasn't been good to you, as if life is treating Young-ro well. She left her home 10 years ago, relies on scholarships, lived with her grandmother in the countryside, and on the day she was going to leave the dormitory she needed Hye-ryung's boyfriend's help so she could move in with her cousin. Wow, that's some"wealthy and spoiled" behaviour right there. Young-ro's not the clueless character you think she is. Let's remember how Boon-ok foiled an opportunity to leave the dorm by putting on a lame, childish victim act. Also how quick she was to put her life in danger by ruling out the nuances of turning someone in when the agency you're dealing with is the ANSP. Her "quick wits and rebellious spirit" would have gotten her killed had it not been for the needed intervention of the dorm housemother.
They're developing her character more because the actress wouldn't play such an irritating, materialistic character just as filler. This isn't the case where the supporting character is actually more deserving of the spotlight than the FL. But you gotta deliver that spicy opinion, right?

It's a somewhat fast-paced drama but the characters, the scenery, the music and the story is really engaging. I don't usually watch dramas but this one is quite interesting. The political parts may be a little hard to grasp but it's all making sense. It's worth watching.

It can't be helped due to recent news that continues to prompt people to talk about the controversy and not the drama itself. I hope that JTBC taking legal action can put an end to all this "drama behind the drama" and that no more misinformation will be spread that'll continue to hurt the real victims who think SD is distorting history and that the cast and staff behind the project will stop receiving malicious comments from people who want their careers ended and the drama gone based on lies.
