From NH's perspective it makes total sense to be suspicious of her. He has few other people whom he can trust, and being controlled against your wishes without any idea why is disconcerting to say the least.

If even the "fictional" characters can get it, then short of being a complete dimwit, SYM should understand NH's perspective too.
At this point FL is essentially a massive red flag.
