I will have to correct you on one thing; there is a review that is bashing the ML not the actor but the character.…
I just told one person to move on and quit badmouthing the show after she allegedly hate it so much and wrote a review about it and she wrote a whole spiel telling me to mind my own business and she can do what she wants and for me to STFU and all that other stuff so I just blocked her because I don’t need that bullshit. If you’re going to go around and badmouth the show just because you don’t like it and you have already written a review on it that you don’t like it it’s pretty indicative of the fact that you need to move the hell on and get the hell out of this section. If you’ve already reviewed it then there’s nothing else for you to say.

great fight scene, mediocre everything else hence the low rating
Where am I following you around? People can give other opinions, but it doesn’t make any sense if a person drops a drama, but hangs around a comment section just to badmouth it. And I’m not the only one with this opinion. Go enjoy something that will make you happy. As for people who have some issues with this drama that are still watching it or they have issues with it, that’s a different story. It just doesn’t make any sense. You don’t need my permission, but I just think that what you’re doing is not fair to the person who is asking for opinions of current actual viewers not those who dropped the drama. Why do you have to make assumption as to what I’m trying to say?

I'm SO in agreement with everything you said. I think, first and foremost, for this drama but really any other,…

Can I just say that 7.7 or seven or above is actually not a low rating by mainland standards. Plus this is a fan site by fans for fans so it really doesn't matter what the ratings are. When DB does their ratings on shows if it's a seven or above the show celebrates by putting out a poster so if seven is a good rating by mainland standards then why on MDL are people so against seven ratings. I don't think there's one drama on MDL that has a perfect 10 regardless of country. As for everything else, this is a true blue wuxia; Amazing fighting scenes that are particularly awesome done by the ML but the FL and the SML definitely know how to kick ass to SML and particular and the FL is slowly growing in experience. There is absolutely no romance anywhere some people see romance, but I don't. I see an ironclad friendship between three people and no matter what happens in the upcoming episodes. I saw the previews on the Chinese app. They will stick together to fix every single issue because all the cases, including the backgrounds of FL and SML are connected to the large conspiracy case that they're trying to uncover. The show is for people who like this type of stuff the slow story rebuilding the amazing fight scenes people who have different ideologies that start as Frenemies and then become brothers plus the sister on the side.. And it's also awesome that YY When doing a recent promo event met up with another actor that was older that played his character in the 90s so two generations worth of ML were together and they took pictures wearing leather jackets, which was really awesome and cool. Some of you may know me from other dramas so you know that if I don't like something, I will just say I tried this. This drama is for me, but I hope you enjoy it and I leave the comment section that's it. I drop the drama night leave. But if I'm really enjoying the drama, obviously I'm going to stick around. I will say positive things, but I will never badmouth a drama. I don't like, especially after I dropped it, it just doesn't make sense. This drama I'm really enjoying. I don't think I'm going to give it a perfect score but it's gonna come close. It all depends on how they finish it and we still have like a little less than half to go so we will see. So my advice for new viewers watch a bunch of episodes. Don't just watch three or five because it's not going to entirely make sense but watch a bunch of them and see if it appeals to you. That is literally the best way to figure it out. Don't look at the ratings. Don't mind the comments, good or bad just watch it. This is one of those shows that you have to make the decision yourself and none of us can make it for you.

Didn't you drop it; why are you still here bad mouthing it? I really do hope you find a drama that you like instead of sticking around in a common section of a drama you don't like and trying to get viewers that haven't started it not to. People deserve to watch a few episodes and decide for themselves.

I will have to correct you on one thing; there is a review that is bashing the ML not the actor but the character. It's from a person who dropped the show at episode 12 apparently without ever understanding why ML does what he does and who he is. So other than not caring about the rating, and if you love the drama to keep watching people should also delve into who the ML is and about the whole Judge Bao thing and how he's related to the ML professionally; and how ML's moral and ethical boundaries are completely different than those of the martial arts world vigilantes. I wish more people saw that and read the discussion thread above. I had asked the person who posted the discussion thread to put it into the comment section a little while ago, but doesn't seem like she wants to do it again because she had already done it once. But it explains everything anyone wants to know about the ML and why he does what he does. There's also some complaints about the script and how it's boring or lazy or something else. I also don't understand if people drop the show why they're still in the comment section bad mouthing it. If you dropped it, you should move onto something that you actually like.

Title Zhan Zhao Adventures Spoiler
His character is totally different from a lot of the ones that I have seen. Here, he is a bad dude and an arrogant…
Nobody gets killed because they are being saved to testify in court. They are walking evidence. There's a massive conspiracy and a lot of people involved in order to uncover the entire conspiracy, you can't kill off the evidence. Besides ML is like a sergeant cop if you will, his job is to gather evidence so he can't kill people like those vigilante in the martial arts world. His moral and ethical judgment is a lot different than the rules of Jianghu. People have seen too many shows where the ML just offs people and they're happy. In this case cops don't just walk over and kill people; detectives investigate. They find clues, they find evidence, and then those people get shipped out to the imperial court to stand trial and then be executed for their crimes. If you want fast results, I don't know if this drama is for you. But if you want a storyline that builds and little bits and pieces of conspiracy, get uncovered and cases come up and slowly get solved then keep watching plus of course the awesome fight scenes. We get the background of SML and FL toward the middle of the show.

Don't look at the rating. This is a fan site. It doesn't matter and besides anything that is a seven or above…
A viewer wrote context of the series because it's part of a bigger franchise. If you look in the discussion thread above, there's one post on why ML doesn't kill that gives you his history and goes more into the why of things. Also, the storyline is true blue to the genre so they will investigate cases to uncover this massive conspiracy, but obviously it's going to be back-and-forth because the bad guys are deeply rooted so you have to watch the episodes to see what is actually going on. And YY is actually the second actor to play this role so this series was very popular in the 90s with a different generation of actors. It all depends on whether or not you like this genre and also if you want story building or just quick results. This doesn't give you story building in the first five episodes you have to go along with the flow. The script follows a certain path just as the original apparently did.

I have never heard him say that fight scenes were the hardest of his career. He was asked about what the hardest thing was so he replied to it. That’s all I think of it. But actors should hype up their dramas. I mean it’s not like the platforms are doing much as usual so unfortunately, the actors have to also be part of the marketing team.

He didn’t say that this drama was the best. He said it was the hardest fighting scenes he’d ever done. Those were his words translated verbatim. That’s honesty. That’s not rainbow farting. When you practice a skill or a fighting sequence so much you can barely stand straight and you actually say that that’s honesty.

THANK YOU! There’s a review up there that basically made me angry because of how the person rationalized dropping the drama. Without even really thinking or putting two and two together.

True there! Yet, many goes after the rating. If they see bellow 8 they are hesitand and many does not give a chance.I…
Oh, me too. One of those people dropped the show and wrote a crappy review about it in regards to them not liking the fact that ML supposedly “protected“ the main villain or one of the villains from being killed by the SML for keeping sex slaves. When they, number one, don’t know ML’s background, nor did they choose to figure it out and number two, don’t understand that he’s not protecting the person he’s fully expecting them to get their just desserts by the power of the law and be executed, but he’s protecting the evidence that they possess in order to bring down the entire conspiracy. If key people are killed and there’s no evidence, how are you going to bring down Lord what’s his face that’s threatening the imperial court and emperor with a rebellion? I mean people really have to read about the background of the person and not just go “well he did that so I hate him now and I’m going to drop the show and the script is crappy, etc.” Like he’s basically an imperial cop if you will, not a vigilante of the martial arts world. He’s not going to just kill for the sake of killing. He’s going to need evidence and then he needs to hand that person over to be judged in a court of law. That’s who he is. His moral and ethical judgment is different than those in the martial arts world where they can just chop each other’s heads off for kicks and giggles or if they see something wrong. Sadly, in the world today, people do just that without going through the proper motions. Yes, it takes time but criminal cases do eventually get to trial and people do get convicted and if need be, executed. That’s why I really wish that people would look and understand ML‘s actual nature and background before they make hasty and what I think unwise decisions.
