Just checked Weibo and there is a hashtag trending saying that this drama plagiarized the lines of a different drama from like years ago or something. It is classic troll behavior as I scrolled through the threads. Obviously some competitors are not liking the fact that this drama hit 1 billion views so quickly. For starters words and lines are not copyrighted to any single person nor drama. Secondly, the supposed plagiarism is 2 screenshot random pictures lined side-by-side. There is nothing official about either of them so it is very obvious that they are both faked and just used to as per usual stirrup public opinion. Best thing to do is to ignore and let the hs roll on off the list.

Sadly, different laws and different countries. But if crews can be proud of the work they have put out; it's some solace.

The crew in particular work in pretty gnarly means and live quite poorly; wish they had labor unions to help that so production big shots wouldn't act like such plum fools.

Unless he himself or his studio say anything about him only doing modern dramas, rumors are just that. Please don't use them as facts. For actors to be successful, they must be versatile; otherwise they get typecast and forgotten. Many others can take their place. With this one being as successful as it is; strong possibility he'll be offered more of them. Whether he takes them or not, will be his choice and his alone. Everything else is mere speculation.
