CQL is my number one costume series but I didn't know MDL existed in December 2019 when I saw it (was the 4th cdrama I saw); wish I did though. This is like cdrama therapy. It was when CG was commander of the army of that governor fighting Ah Sun and The rest of Ashile Tribe; men used ladders to climb over the walls just like the battle of Helm's Deep w/the Uruk-Hai. Not understanding why they needed to cut normal scenes out. Just left for a lot of disconnect, I feel. That would have been a very cute scene.

In 49 for Leyan and ice melt's last scene together to be losing his often misguided father who finally got it right later; I did feel that given how long it took them to get to their point of happiness an extra scene of maybe just standing together talking about how life was going to be peaceful now could have done a nice finale. But that's just my POV.
