You can see it in his eyes the comprehension/realization that this is a very preplanned gig with many ppl after the first arrow is fired at uncle assholes feet and CG saying "who said I was alone?". Then he sees her place her thumb btwn the blade and bros throat at realizes he's in on it too. He's a very smart man, a strategist, a general; did he really think that CG; the woman who led whole armies, was his level if not more sometimes of strategy, who loved him as much as he her, would really just chill on a couch in Chang'an and let the crazy bitch from hell harpoon him?
