Awesome, so you did see PA; or some of it. I actually noticed the chemistry between FL and ML almost immediately. He was always the one saving her in the most agonizing of situations. But her and SML also did well, though even after he got some measure of revenge for his family's murders, he became even more ruthless then the ppl who killed them. And that's when your empathy towards him begins to evaporate. It's like but wait now you're becoming as corrupt and ruthless as the ppl you hated. He got a taste of real power and it messed him up.

Yes would love for the pandemic to take a hike. I was supposed to go on a live aboard trip (I'm a scuba diver) for my bday last year and ironically it wasn't the virus that made me not book it, but the plethora of hurricanes in the Caribbean. Can't make this crap up.

Yes, that I can totally agree with; uber perky or whiny or happy crappy......can't do either (prior to this I watched Legend of Fei where one supporting character chick, I legit wanted to strangle! Nails on chalkboard voice, annoying as hell attitude and always had to be rescued! I wrote it in my review of the show. She was awful!) that's why I'm partial to her but it's not in the omg plz shut section yet like OuSeKi and the new one lol!

My first was Princess Agents and only c-dramas. FB's algorithms back in November 2019 decided that it would put that one into my watch section; FB decided I should check out c-dramas. What drew me were the vibrant costumes, colors, and ZLY's kick ass character. That show needs a part 2 ASAP because if you haven't seen it, it ended with a massive cliff hanger due to plagiarism issues which finally got resolved last year.

I travel when I can and do so more internationally then domestically (subtract last year for obvious reasons) and the one thing I've learned in my adventures is the best way to learn about other cultures is through food, music, and cinematography.

Aww really? Why do you hate our rabbit soul? I'm partial to her character right now just because it's too bouncy though she will kick butt when need be and has TS' back if he needs her. Mu Bai is a good looking actor and I've previously seen him in Gank Your Heart so I'm slightly familiar with him. Other then that, his character has yet to grow anywhere including on me XD.

Totally the opposite with anime as that's something I haven't watched since like the mid to late '90s and even then it was only Sailor Moon and Inuyasha lol. The thousand seasons shows are soap operas but most of our shows don't last past season maybe 10 unless it's something super successful like Grey's Anatomy or Law & Order: SVU.

So you're also fairly new to this world. May I ask which drama brought you here?

I'm from the states too but other then 911, I've basically stopped watching our shows since I fell into the rabbit hole of c-ent back in November of 2019 lol. Yes someone needs to make Mu Bai take several seats back because he's way too bossy. And as you said not all that and a bag of chips lol. Master is my second favorite as well, with fire Phoenix in 3rd and headmaster and Zhu Zhu I think her name is claw grudge girl tying for 4th. :)

Thing is, I don't find motor mouth funny; just hugely annoying. And I think it's because of the amount of lines he has and the nonsense he spews. If it made sense or was on topic; sure. But he's like that kid at school that jumps in the middle of each issue giving his unsolicited POV which 99.9% has zilch relevance on the situation. I've noticed a trend in these costume dramas I've watched; they each have to have like a token annoying character for some reason. Why? Beats the heck out of me. So other then healing ppl what else does he do? Bake? Just praying as we get further into the double digits we will see a plot form that's cohesive. Fingers crossed.

I watched other shows in a bingey way and I still notice things like that. And yes in regards to the "holy crap of 7 rings", I've always watched previews on everything so to me it's abnormal when they don't exist lol. So let's cross our fingers that today we will get the supporting cast back to where they were and Tang San back to lead. I wonder when TS will show the rest that he actually has a second soul that's the hammer.

Agreed. Supporting cast is great and they play a role here but the last 4 episodes have felt like Da ge and Motor Mouth were the leads with Tang San trailing behind somewhere. Supporting cast, needs to be just that, supporting. Not being brought in and taking over crucial episode space and time especially with nonsense. Plus these episodes are like 35 minutes long or should I say short rather. I personally will watch till the end, but my review and rating (as they always are with everything) will be honest.

That's a great analogy for it; student driver. Taking 13 episodes to introduce characters; too long. They def have time as mentioned to pick up the pace but at the same time you don't want things to be rushed and unexplained. I guess we'll have to see. And this thing is supposed to have a season 2 as announced per Tencent. I just hope season 1 gives us the quality that we'll want to watch season 2 whenever that happens.

Yes plz! Da ge is like a bossy dude. Then you have motor mouth what's his face OuseKe and the new chick that whines like an arrogant kid. I didn't read the book and not into anime but this plot needs to start being cohesive and have development. 40 episodes go by quick. The actors aren't to blame, they read the script and followed the directors orders. Thus far my favorites are Tang San, Master, Headmaster, and the chick with the grudge and nails plus evil Phoenix fire kid as they seem to have the most development and have characters that are evolving.

I have VIP for almost every app they have for watching and they still can't sub? -face floor-.

Episode 8 was mostly that Brother Ou guy yammering away about some BS. He's annoying and not funny. If his character continues on this route, I'm going to fast forward his parts. He legit gave me a headache and most of the episode was spent on him and considering there's only 40 episodes, maybe they should have given him his own series or something. I love the CGI, the other characters for the most part though all antagonists thus far, killed or not could have done with better development. Episode 9 we finally have our first mystery to solve, with some side bar of Mr. Motor Mouth. Didn't read the book nor am into Donghua, so watching for Xiao Zhan who's doing a stellar job and just the story itself.

Love the CGI, the comedy aspects of it, some actors could have been less annoying but so far so good. Looking forward to the episodes 8 and 9 tomorrow.

Btw folks, Xiao Zhan did his own voice dubbing for this one. It's his first one! Enjoy and as someone said below, plz be civil in the comments. If you don't like it, no need to make a fuss. Everyone is entitled to their viewpoints.

Ok well things were changed. I'm sure the mods here like everyone or they wouldn't be mods. And I'm sure they can pick and choose which series to work on. I suggest if you have a problem with the mods, you take it up with them. Don't do it here. Thanks.

Ok I'm in the US, Tencent Video said North America couldn't watch it until 11:30am and I just clicked on it and it's available. Just one episode but it is. So folks, if you're in the states too, try it out. I'm on the east coast though. ~shrug~
