Bei Ming is ML. He won't die before episode 36. 🤔
I’m actually very happy that even though DK is playing a much more clever role than he has in the past and he’s going toward arrogant protagonist. This is definitely a good role for him. He’s got the comic relief going for him. He’s got the fact that he’s an opponent of the ML in the beginning. Then he becomes ML‘s friend and helps with the exoneration and joins the squad to bring down the big bad wolf. Because to be completely honest, other than maybe love under the divine tree and some short series, I have never seen him play a protagonist. He’s always the big bad wolf.

This is like a six person marriage lol.
They already decided to marry an episode one but they don’t have any chemistry and like I said as soon as they call each other, brother sister, even the smallest hint goes out the window. I mean the fact that they were in this relationship for such a long time and never even kissed other than holding hands prior to marriage is already strange. Like you’re supposed to have some sort of passion or obviously love, but lust and wanting to be with this person, and these two are just like friendly neighbors. I wonder what will happen and how she will react when he is finally cured. Will she be the one to spill the beans or will she continue to wait for him which is so outdated even for them in that time period. And considering she now thinks she lost her chance because he’s “dying“ she should’ve just come forth with her feelings. I don’t understand why women are or rather some women are so hesitant on just putting it out there. Especially since you know, he’s not the killer. He didn’t kill your father. Hell, your father could still be alive and be the orchestrator of this entire thing.

If they leave us hanging in episode 20, and Kong Yun hasn't reunited with Bei Ming, I'll fly to China and has…
I’m 100% with you on that the waiting is annoying especially when you don’t know exactly when it’s going to happen. I’m one of those people that lives off of spoilers. If I read a book I started at the end. I want to know what that ending is going to be, then I may shuffle through the middle of it And then I only start reading. So I’m a bit weird but I definitely want to know who gives a male the cure and at first I thought maybe peacock, but that’s highly unlikely he has nothing to do with medicine so then the only other person is old bug because as he told Little boy poison that that book he can find a lot more than the young kid because he’s had more experience. So I think in order to not be killed or maybe for some other reason he may be the one to come up with the cure. So we have a few more days to deal with Everyone thinking Amel is going to die. I am just tired of the angst is all because I personally don’t feel it since I know he’s going to survive but the actors don’t or the characters don’t so it’s like OK move this train along stick some cold in there let’s chug chug chug.

I've only seen up to episode 6, but I agree the political stuff is not as interesting. I only care for the ML,…
Exactly the whole point of the drama and the name of the drama legend of the female general is for her to earn the merits, avenge her betrayal by her family with the help of the ML which means she’s going to have to tell him at some point that even in school, she had to play her ungrateful bastard brothers part. I want to see war I want to see battles. I don’t want to see them sitting around drinking tea and scheming against each other. Not what I signed up for.

The first 6 for me was kinda slow. Epi 7 was interesting with the sword dancing but while watching, all I could…
I’m watching four dramas at the moment so I get to really look through a lot of things but the one thing I never do is I never compare dramas or actors or anything of that nature. All the four dramas including one modern have zilch in common. They are all their own genres with all their own actors. This thing has been hyped up so much and now we’re just kind of left wondering why the hype? Granted it only came out with seven episodes so far if you were watching on weTV But I just think that cohesive writing should be important even in the beginning so people don’t lose interest.

There’s more than one scene I mean in that clip that I shared I don’t even know where it came from because I was on Weibo looking at something and then it changed and it came up to this random clip someone put together, but as I was watching it. It showed scenes that we had already seen at the same time scenes that haven’t happened yet. And then when I translated her blurb up top, it said ML is cured he is vindicated and gets his name back, which means he’s reinstated because of the uniform that he wears that now he is of a higher caliber than his junior sister. And also that KY is now part of The squad though missing TS don’t know where he went and they are going full balls to the walls trying to figure out who this dude is. And it also showed that Peacock became a very good friend to ML so when ML was threatened, he stepped up and was like You wanna try me. I really want to see all of those scenes but I guess we’re just not there yet. I think it’ll happen when Peacock joins them and they find some sort of exonerating evidence at the same time as they get a cure because when they are walking to the emperor, the ML is already obviously cured.

We just have to be patient because we’re at the halfway point. I think we will have a few more days of sick ML before something happens. And I also think that perhaps KY will help with the exoneration portion.

Well, we know a ML knows she’s a woman but she doesn’t know ML knows she’s a woman it’s very confusing tomorrow she realizes that he knows when she kills that lackey that stabbed her and tossed her off a cliff. But in general, they need to come clean about everything he doesn’t really need to say anything, but she does need to tell him what’s going on. She just can’t keep writing these Horses of lies because they build up and nothing happens other than a bunch of misunderstandings.

There is something maybe old bug guy does come through on his promise. Because in that clip you saw ML back to perfect health, he was put together. He was reinstated as a constable or whatever the heck he was his hair was neat again he had color in his cheeks. He was exonerated and now full-blown going at mask man. Peacock and father were behind him in one of those scenes and he was wearing all white when he went to see the emperor I’m guessing.

This is like a six person marriage lol.
It’s very strange because they didn’t finish their marriage as in due the rest of the proper stuff, including consummation and calling each other continually junior sister, senior brother just takes all of the possibility of a romance or couple thing out of the equation. Frankly, the second couple have more chemistry than these two have but I am fine with no chemistry and no real romance here because we need to solve cases. We need to figure out what happened with that massacre we need to bring down big bad mask man and we have to figure out why the hell the emperor covered everything up. Plus, of course cure the ML and reinstate him all of which will happen. We just have to figure out when it’ll happen.

Peacock has to fully realize that ML is not guilty even though while he was laying on the rug surrounded by all that paper I think he was making that realization now I guess he wants to prove something what we will get in today/tomorrow’s episode episodes. We are now at the halfway point. We need a lot of episodes to go after black mask killer person Plus the other cases that are gonna come along because I think this spooky case was number four and there are seven total. The cure should be coming up soon as well as peacock joining the crowd. I mean none of the scenes that we saw in the little clip that I posted have happened yet so we are still headed that way. I don’t know why, but now I have another crazy theory that that old bug guy does come through with the cure. Because he is cured somehow, but we are all wondering who delivers the cure so perhaps old bug does make good on his promise with that book.

How is this so far?
It’s like the plot walked away from the rest of the show leaving the actors to do whatever. We were moving on a certain track and then we derailed and went for a walk in the woods. Hopefully we get back on track tomorrow today, whatever the hell it is.

Am I the only one that thinks that today’s episodes were a little draggy? Like I had to fast forward a lot and I didn’t need to do that in the first five episodes. I hope it changes and goes back to whatever it was for the first five because frankly dealing with strange political stuff as opposed to battles and revenge is kind of played out.

How is this so far?
Honestly, I’m not sure at this moment and I am finishing episode seven. The first five episodes were good, but these last two kind of seemed draggy a little bit.
