I think the whole military sequence was a bust. From a all over the place fl to a leader playing a foot soldier…
Every excuse that she has made in all of her decisions have more holes than a sieve. She drugged her husband and went to the battlefield in his place. You just don’t do that. Decision made that she had no right to make even if he wasn’t the Marquis, even if that dude was someone else she would’ve been court marshaled and kicked out. She makes decisions for other people and there’s no consequences. I was actually happy for a while when LHA came and told her that she had no business, knocking him out and making that decision for him even though afterwards he came with like roots or something to have her hit him because he I don’t know whatever it was only then was she like well I was wrong too, I shouldn’t have knocked you out; like the way she said it was such crap. It’s like she puts herself on this pedestal and everyone else’s decisions don’t matter she makes a decision, she acts on it and whatever the repercussions and consequences everyone else has to deal with them. It never touches her. Even though she’s the one acting upon them she always gets away with it. That’s not a character that you write that’s a narcissist. Everyone has to especially the ML think about her and her feelings she never seems to care about anyone else’s feelings. If he’s hurt first she yells at him and then she comforts him like that’s an abusive relationship right there. When she found out who her father really was, she had like the angel and devil on her shoulder and she of course listened to the devil while the angel was like “he has the right to know the truth. Tell him tell him.” I wonder how far she would go and I’m not talking just finding her husband in the war because we know she could do that through her brute strength but I’m saying mentally psychologically and emotionally. How far would she go for him if the situations were reversed? And just like you said, he’s literally got the world on his Shoulders lying to her was the right thing to do to protect them both and the fact that she did not understand that even when he explained it to her saying that the marriage was false because the name was false. This man did not have to agree to your dumb ass request of marrying into your family just to save your house when he barely knows you. Every single time like he would tell her, I’m afraid you’ll hit me again. Well, you forced a kiss on me excuse got old 10 episodes ago! That was the very first time when he was leaving, but yet she uses that example every single time or she just hits him and walks away. He uses his words to try to explain to her how things are and she just gets all pissy hits him knocks him over walks away. So they wrote a narcissist with crazy abilities in fighting that came out of nowhere fell from the sky and has the right to make decisions or require protection that could get others killed and walk away without consequence. Sure makes sense, right? 😖

I totally agree with you. It’s absolute madness that they let her join. She should’ve just stayed and picked rocks in the quarry. At least her brute strength would’ve made sense. But no, she runs to the battlefield like it’s a day at the beach. Makes a mistake because the enemy is a kid and is soft hearted as she put it herself and lets him go instead of killing him, and he ends up nearly killing her friend who ends up dying during the next battle because she’s too busy paying attention to something else. This is not a general worthy person. This is not even a foot soldier worthy person the most if anything I would let her do is carry a flag. And yet they turned her into cyber Barbie. In order to portray a strong woman, they went beyond logic. There’s female centric and I know because I used to write novels. You can make a plot female centric, but it has to be believable even in a fictional land. People can’t look at something and go WTF am I even watching?
And the poor ML who actually is the general of all generals is literally reduced to Barbie’s puppy to be hit when she’s angry and pushed around; which is literal physical abuse just because her royal highness is angry she can do with him what she wants and the people in this comment section are all laughing like it’s a good thing but situations reversed, and like the lunatic punched that stronghold chick in the mouth I didn’t see too many people cheering, did you? The double standard is atrocious. Those military scenes, even though novel readers also said they were supposed to be mostly of her should have been mostly of him and his men and them fighting. Since directors and script writers have already deviated so much from the original novel, they could’ve deviated here too, and written it in a way that made sense and didn’t look absolutely bat shit ridiculous. This isn’t even some fantasy show where the leads have supernatural abilities and powers and things; they have to use blades and swords and spears just like a regular battlefield.
agree ... she could add so much if they just gave her proper scenes… wasted potential fr.
I mean they have the flashback where ML had the nightmare in the beginning of the series and you just could see she’s really a pretty actress and she pops in again for a brief illusion in episode 36 I think.

Agree with everything everyone has said. She punishes him by slapping him, which is physical abuse and yet when she makes mistakes on a grand scale like in a war environment, other people have to suffer for it, but she is deemed untouchable. Consequences don’t apply to her for some reason. I was really looking forward to the military arc because I thought that we would finally see the ML as the Marquis that he has been portrayed as this war legend and hero and instead he gets maybe five minutes of fighting time most of which is spent writing on his horse galloping toward the enemy while she gets all the actual fighting portions and she has virtually no training other than a few words from this person or a few words from that person and a little bit that her father taught her when she was younger. It’s just not even understandable at this point why this is being done. And unfair to the ML who’s been reduced to basically her sidekick. She makes absolutely catastrophic decisions, including knocking out people who she deems will slow her down or something, not giving others their opportunity to make decisions, even though LHA is not great at fighting. He missed the opportunity to be with his mentor and master prior to his death. They literally turned her into like Joan of Arc or Xena warrior princess and that’s not who she is. And you know if she was more focused than her young little brother from the village wouldn’t have been killed. This whole thing just irks me a lot. It’s very frustrating.
The actress that plays ML’s mom is really pretty. I’ve seen her do both protagonist and antagonist roles, and though I prefer protagonist, I do like when she has actual scenes and not like flashbacks or illusions.
They deviated alot from the novel for LHA character. If i rem correctly, in d novel, he was a willing pawn for…
Yes, I agree. I also remember when RH did an interview saying that as the time progressed, he became more carefree and cared more about his country than romance or rather his character did.
I don't know LHA clear motive up to now.But I think he will go against XZ when the time comes since he is 3 Rd…
No, I don’t think so. I think he’s going to play double agent but he’s most likely going to tell ML the truth because he’s cornered and they know that there’s a mole in that faction and it’s obviously not LHA since he’s always hurt and wounded in every battle.

Yeah, I was told in the novel he was a completely different person. I think he’s going to follow his masters wishes as opposed to his grandfather because it’s becoming clearer and clear that grandfather isn’t a good person.
It’s funny because she wore out all of her regular teachers when it came to like reading and war tactics and what not and then she wore out LHA I guess in fighting because he looked like hell froze over lol.
