So...talay is using the same people that beat/bully phupa to get his revenge on thyme? What?
Right, the way I will avenge Phupa if I were him were:
First, torturing the minions with Thyme at that time
Next, torturing Thyme by luring him with his most beloved person.

Maybe Talay want to give Thyme some flashback moments LOL

The arc of "when a reality hits a relationship of two social classes: an ordinary woman and a rich man" in this drama remind me of the real life story that happen to the Korean actress, Go Hyun Jung.

I give a bit summary about her story from what I had read:

She debuted in the entertainment industry as a Miss Korea runner-up in 1989. As soon as she debuted, her luck was so good. She got starred in the TV series "Eyes of Dawn" in 1991 that made her stand out among the rookies.

After that, she starred in the TV series "Hourglass" in 1995, one of the highest-rated (64.5%) and critically acclaimed dramas in Korean television history. Almost overnight, she became a well-known goddess of the public in South Korea.

In May 1995, at the peak of her career, 24 years old Go Hyun Jung retired because she married Chung Yong Jin who was 3 years older than her. He is a vice chairman and CEO of Shinsegae Group and grandson of Samsung founder Lee Byung Chul.

After getting married, she completely became a housewife and led a cautious and wealthy life. It is said that she will get up at 5 o'clock every day and start preparing breakfast for her husband; after sending her husband out, she will start cleaning and preparing lunch; after her husband comes home from get off work, she has finished the dinner at home. In order to match her husband's rest time, she must go to bed at 10 o'clock in the evening, because this is one of the house rules.

She can handle the tedious housework, but the cultural gap between her and the rest of the family is a ditch that she can't cross. The rest of the family have a background of studying abroad, everyone knows one or two foreign languages, and is even more knowledgeable about things in the company. Even she has a college degree, she studied acting. Not only does she not know any foreign languages, but she also knows nothing about business matters.

In November 2003, 32 years old Go Hyun Jung and Chung Yong Jin finally ended their 8 years and 6 months marriage formally. After a long tug of war, she regained her freedom at the cost of giving up the custody of her children. Not only was she unable to live with her children, she was also forbidden to visit them.

Not just that, Shinsegae announced a ruling stating that none of its department shops would be allowed to display any material associated with Go Hyun Jung, including any of her product endorsements, two years after their divorce.

Until now, Shinsegae Group remains not showing any of her related material. Even when she was chosen as a model for Lancome products, Shinsegae shops didn’t show her face in Lancome’s booth. Shinsegae used a distant model rather than her to get on the promotional poster for Lancome products.

When I read her story, the most touching part is, since she cannot meet her children, she said to the media that one of her reason she continues her acting career is because she hopes that her children can see her on television and in cinemas.

It was quite hard even for a popular actress like Go Hyun Jung, what's more for an ordinary poor woman?

They eventually fall for the guy they got married to, who weren't their original matchups
Thank you!

One thing that make me glad about this drama is there are two pair of romantic couple.

So I hope there won't be any arc of second male lead being pitiful because he get rejected by main female lead even after loyally be there for her and second female lead shamelessly doing many dirty trick to separate main female lead and main male lead although main male lead don't care about her at all LOL

I also really like that plot is about two sister are married off to the wrong husbands with the gentle and kind older sister to the demon prince while smart and cunning younger sister to the heavenly prince.

At first I want to watch this drama because of my favorite actor, Chen Xing Xu.

Then I read that his character is the heavenly prince that pair with the smart and cunning younger sister act by Li Lan Di.
So now, I'm become more excited to watch their interactions!
He will feel confused with his "wife" for sure haha

I want Korean drama to remake one of the top angsty plot in Chinese costume drama, Goodbye My Princess which was an adaptation from a famous Chinese novel, Eastern Palace.

It about tragic love story between 5th prince of Li Dynasty and 9th princess Western State. Tragic because only sad ending fit to be the ending for the main couple LOL

Synopsis with spoiler:
Xiao Feng is the beloved ninth princess of Western Liang, who enters into a political marriage with Li Cheng Yin, the crown prince of the Tang Dynasty. The latter has his own favorite concubine, and only agreed to this loveless marriage to secure his position as heir to the throne.

It is later revealed that Xiao Feng had met Li Cheng Yin under the alias of Gu Xiao Wu three years ago. He was on a secretive mission to conquer the western kingdoms, and used Xiao Feng to accomplish his goal. After finding out the truth, Xiao Feng jumped into the River of Forgetfulness, and Gu Xiao Wu / Li Chen Yin followed suit out of guilt, and perhaps also love.

In the present-time, only Xiao Feng has regained her memories, and their heart-wrenching romance begins all over again.

Goodbye My Princess fan mv with this drama OST,
Love Catastrophe by Xiao Shi Gu Niang
(Beware, it has spoiler)

To me, Xiao Feng is one of the most pitiful main female lead in Chinese costume drama that I had watch while Li Cheng Yin is one of a complex main male lead.

If there will be a Korean remake, the drama production must select talented actor and actress for the main leads like actor Chen Xing Xu and actress Peng Xiao Ran in the Chinese adaptation.

I really hoping angst plot like this drama for Korean historical genre LOL

I read a comment mentioned that this drama looks toxic like F4 Thailand, romanticizing violence all that.

From the trailer, yes, this drama has a scene where it look like "the main male lead bullied the main female lead" but it definitely different from F4 Thailand.

I would say it more like he lashing to her since the synopsis mentioned that at first main male lead and main female lead were childhood friend and their families were close, but all become messy since ten years ago because main female lead's sister murdered main male lead's brother. Not only that, main male lead also lost his father because he leave him and his mother.

Of course it doesn't justified what main male lead did to main female lead but it totally not similar at all with F4 Thailand.

No one knows how many days you stayed in Diya. No one knows that the former deity suffered from the pain of fire…
Thank you for the spoiler!

Cheng Yi is a good actor while Yang Zi is a good actress so I believe they would perform well for their scenes in this drama.

Oh, was about to ask that also since I saw from Who Rules the World that it got reduced. I'm hoping they know…
The limit rule to just 40 episodes per drama definitely started in 2021, but I'm not sure in which month it was enforced.

There were still some Chinese costume dramas with more than 40 episodes, and there were also some with fewer than 40 episodes in the year 2021.

Some Chinese costume dramas I watched in 2021 had more than 40 episodes:

The Rebel Princess (68 episodes)
Aired : Jan 9, 2021 - Feb 25, 2021
Main actor : Zhou Yi Wei
Main actress: Zhang Zi Yi

The Sword and The Brocade (45 episodes)
Aired : Feb 26, 2021 - Mar 29, 2021
Main actor : Wallace Chung
Main actress: Tan Song Yun

The Long Ballad (49 episodes)
Aired : Mar 31, 2021 - May 3, 2021
Main actor : Leo Wu
Main actress: Dilraba Dilmurat

Court Lady (55 episodes)
Aired : Apr 15, 2021 - May 23, 2021
Main actor : Xu Kai
Main actress: Li Yi Tong

Ancient Love Poetry (49 episodes)
Aired : Jun 17, 2021 - Jul 18, 2021
Main actor : Xu Kai
Main actress: Zhou Dong Yu

Song of Youth (43 episodes)
Aired : Jul 26, 2021 - Sep 2, 2021
Main actor : Wang Yi Zhe
Main actress: Bai Lu

Novoland: Pearl Eclipse (48 episodes)
Aired: Nov 10, 2021 - Dec 5, 2021
Main actor: William Chan
Main actress: Yang Mi

The first Chinese costume drama I knew had been cut down to just 40 episodes that I watched in the year 2021:

Rebirth For You
Aired : Oct 17, 2021 - Nov 22, 2021
Main actor : Joseph Zeng
Main actress: Ju Jing Yi

So far, the upcoming Chinese costume dramas on my "to watch" list that will air in 2022 that I knew would be cut down to just 40 episodes:

1)Imperial Cuisine with Xu Kai and Wu Jin Yan
2)Who Rules The World with Yang Yang and Zhao Lu Si

I think if they want to produce costume dramas with more than 40 episodes, they should separate them into 2 parts like these dramas:

1)Main actor : Ren Jia Lun
Main actress: Bai Lu

PART 1: One And Only (24 episodes)
Aired : Aug 18, 2021 - Aug 27, 2021

PART 2: Forever And Ever (30 episodes)
Aired : Sep 6, 2021 - Sep 22, 2021

2)Main actor : Ren Jia Lun
Main actress: Dilraba Dilmurat

The Blue Whisper: PART 1 (30 episodes)
Airing: 2022 (maybe)

The Blue Whisper: PART 2 (21 episodes)
Airing: 2022 (maybe)

I don't know the total episodes they filming for this drama "Immortal Samsara", that's why I ask here.
I hope this drama is just 40 episodes originally.
Usually the plot of Chinese costume drama will always turn to a mess when they cut down the episodes from it original total episodes (╥︣﹏╥᷅)

Title Royal Feast
I felt like drooling when watching the trailer LOL
https://twitter.com/dramapotatoe/status/1493395528146583552

In this delicious (pun intended) drama, Wei Ying Luo (Wu Jin Yan) and Fuca Fu Heng (Xu Kai) finally have a happy ending yay (ノ^о^)ノ

But this drama will be cut down to just 40 episodes, like the drama "Rebirth For You (2021)" and the upcoming drama "Who Rules The World" (╥︣﹏╥᷅)

On Immortal Samsara: Part 1 Feb 18, 2022
Upcoming Chinese costume dramas like "Imperial Cuisine" with actor Xu Kai & actress Wu Jin Yan as main couple and also "Who Rules The World" with actor Yang Yang & actress Zhao Lu Si as main couple get cut out to just 40 episodes because the current rule limit Chinese dramas to 40 episodes per drama.

So I wonder if anyone know how many episode this drama "Immortal Samsara" was filming originally?

Was this drama filming for more than 40 episodes and will get cut out just like "Imperial Cuisine" and "Who Rules The World" or it has been filming for just 40 episodes originally?

On The Starry Love Feb 15, 2022
The synopsis:
"Due to a mix up, the two sisters are married off to the wrong husbands."

So, the novel are about love stories between both princesses and their husbands?
Or about both princesses and their fiancés and finally they will get married in the end?

Thank you!
Chen Xing Xu is a great actor that look good in costume clothes and also has a beautiful finger haha so actually I won't mind to watch him even in a drama with 100 episodes LOL

I read that he will act as more than one character in this drama so I'm super excited!
